"this- is fun yet hard!" andreans horse reared bucking her off. "andrean! you spurred it to many times! this one is very skittish!"she hopped off her horse to help her friend. "i think i just hurt my back." she slowly got up and climbed on her horse's back. "wait a moment! look over there!" andrean pointed at joth's figure. "i knew he'd come back" kaylin smirked. the horses ran as fast as they could, kaylins horse skidding slightly, yet andrean kept running. "stop this crazy thing!" andrean held on to the horse's mane. it let out a skid as kaylin let out a high whistle. "thanks kaylin!" she shouted. her horse had gone a long way.

[Belladandy]

Joth ran up to them waving his arms and panting heavily. "Wait!" He cried. "Wait for the Mouse!"

Staggering to a halt in front of them it took the Mouse a few long moments to catch his breath before he could finally speak to them.

"Now look." He said crossing his arms. "You may think that I came all the way running cause the Mouse had a sudden change of heart. Seen the light the goodness and decided to preform random acts of chivory and all that other slop." He shook his head. "No it's nothing like that...It's ummm..." Joth stammered for a bit, lying to these girls was a lot harder then he thought.
"It's like this...You," He directed a hand at Kaylin. "Are a princess and a elf to say the least. Odds are your people value you high above all things and what nots which makes you valuable to me. Your Long ear friends would reward me dearly for your safe return and that's what I'm planing to do."

A smug grin spread across his features proud of his lie. It was a lot better then the first one. Pretending to hold the Princess for ransom sounded good but he'd doubt she fall for that.
I just hope they don't think the Mouse is going soft. Thought Joth.

"well, yes i am a princess elf but, my people where turned, by an evil power, and so they dont value me, they dont even value there own children...." she paused and looked away. "i think this doing was from my sister.." a small tear streaked her face. "sorry, i just mourn for my people. she wiped it off with her sleeve. "well mousey, if we did return we would be dead meat, so i value my sneaky life, soooo toodle-oo! come on kaylin. we will get this sister of yours ourselves aey?" she winked at the mouse with a grin. "no spirits gonna' mess with my friend kingdom!" her horse reared taking off. "well bye." she looked at joth with a slight smile. "see you later i geuss." she then spurred her horse. "we left you a horse to get back to town with." she called before she was out of sight.

Joth grimaced seeing how Kaylin reacted. “No wait!” He cried. “I-I didn’t mean it that way!”
He rubbed the back of his neck shifted a little and then with sigh he said. “I’m sorry...”

“I’m sorry.”An up and straight, completely honest to...whoever... apology. Rarely very rarely did the Mouse ever fully and wholly apologize for his actions. It was strange for Joth, strange for a lying thief to suddenly say something honest for a change. Strange but not discomforting since it made him and his conscience (small as it was) feel better.
unfortunately, the Mouse’s moment of truth was never really witness. Before the words formed in his mouth the princess, the girl thief, and the raven were charging off on the road again. And without him.

“Oh, for crying out loud!” He snorted turning to the horse left for him. “What is it with women? They turn their backs just when I give out a man’s apology!” He said to the horse trying to jump onto the saddle but never being small in stature and never being taught how to properly get on a horse, so when Both finally got up on the saddle he found himself facing the wrong side of the horse.

“^&*%^$!” Hiss the Mouse hoping down and try it once more. This time he got it right. Grabbing the reins he grunted. “Come on horse, looks like we’ll have to catch up with them again.” He paused and then spoke in a low threatening voice. “Throw me off horse and “I’ll be selling your hide on AebayMarket!”
With a flick of the reins they were off following behind the Princess & Co.

" i am her brother, and i was watching, she did not flee because what you said or did." the speaker was a young elven man. "yeah, she did not give you a horse to flee for nothing." a black unicorn said. "dont worry! you can come with us" a winged wolf wagged his tail

For some reason the Mouse found himself staring into the angler face of the male elf and the small corners of his moth twiched upward in a hidden grin.

So this Kaylin's brother...Heeheeh, he looks more like her sister.
Strange as Joth thoughts but the way he looked at it the elf was so fair and perfect that if weren't for the broad shoulders and the flat chest he did look like a tall stearn woman.
The Mouse had to cover his mouth to hold back his laugher less the elf and his beastie companion inquired about his amusement.

Taking a few deep breathes Joth said at last. "Well why not." He shrugged. "Though I'm not surprised at being left behind, people often do that to me."

"oh dont feel that way!" the little winged wolfjumped up and ran in circles aroud joth. "well come on lets find her." her brother said. as they traveled they hardly spoke. they came apon a very enteresting looking ruins and stoped to rest.

He smiled slightly at the flightly wolf's words. "It is the truth....For someone of my stature." Stature he meant by not in 'status' (so to speak) but in his hieght. All the boys of his age stood much taller then him. Taller and much stronger which was why one of the many reasons he was intittled 'Mouse.'

Least my small size and thinly body has gotten me out of a few tight places. Joth commented to himself getting off his horse and sat down with his back next to a well carved but crubling wall. As soon as this is over I'm going to get my friends back and have them all move to this 'thief haven.'

a glimer shone in the forest. "ooohhh! pretty! i'll go see what it is!" the wolf opend its wings and dove into the forest. "kili'o! where are you going?" the black unicorn trotted up. "that silly wolf.'' she snorted, pawing the ground.

Something shinny? Now this caught the thief's attention. The Mouse was attracted to shinny things like vampires were attracted to bloodbanks. Plus shinny things often have a tendency to be something of valuable. "Bring it to me I want to see!" Joth called out rubbing his fingers together.

"i dont know what it is!" he said dropping it at joths feet. "lets go see where it came from. it may have clues to where it is." the unicorn said then sniffed it. "it smells like kaylin! kili'o! take us to where you found it!" she ordered. "ok! come on!" he darted away. "well lets go"

The Mouse pocketed the thing as he got to his feet. "Coming along elf?" He asked.

"eh, might as well. she is my sister and might be in danger." he picked up his bag and followed along. "look! we are alllllmost there!" the wolf skipped along. "look! a note!" the elf walked up to a note pinned on a tree. " it says:~~joth, neyena told me you met the group! i'm glad your safe! i'm near the river so meet me there. andrean is in trouble! i cannot help her myself, so please hurry! and sorry for darting off like that but there was dark magic in the air. how silly of me not to tell you! kaylin.~~'' he finished reading then said " we need to find a river. so keep your ears open for the sound of it, and eyes open for the site!"

[Belladandy]

Joth frowned. "Great just one misfortune after another." Unconcuoiusaly his hand touched the area were the ghost had slashed him. "Let's hope my luck don't run out on me again. Or their's either."

A cry from above made Joth jump. "Joooth Boweeeen!"
Neyena appeared from the air and much to the thief's annoyance landed on his head. "I was sent to find you!" Said the raven. "To lead you to the princess and Andrean!"

"well raven, show us where she is!" the unicorn stepped up, then neyena took flight. after a long time of traveling, the sound of rushing water filled the air. "kaylin? where are you?" kili'o called out. "over here!" the voice of kaylin called out. "where where you all?" she stepped out to see her friends. "never mind that, andrean is in grave trouble!" she said. "well dont worry! we shall help you find her." the unicorn replied
