Soran's head jerks around at the noise... ~did you hear that??~ even though part of him thinks it -must- be the other Mina said would join them, he still tenses up in case it Isn't. he's as still as the air around them... waiting. part of his mind pulls back from the thought of sharing the Tyshiri with him... he's come to think of her as his friend and while he feels she might not like it, a bit of his heart says he might think more of her than that. he shakes the errant thoughts away; wondering where they sprang from... he tries instead to decide if he should act as cover for her if it comes to battle or whether she would be defensive about him doing so. to himself he wonders-where is all this coming from?? i never would have worried so much about any of my herd sibs... i would have just done what i felt was the right thing regardless of whether they liked it or not. since when did it matter what others thought about me? the indecision makes him paw the ground with a mild look of annoyance turned into himself. with out another thought, he stands protectively, with out realizing that he has moved, in between Yoral and whatever is coming towards them.

Mostyn stumbles through some dense shrubbery, and abrubtly finds the two other Tyshiri directly in front of them.
~Hello,~ he says, caught a bit off guard, as he hadn't expected to catch up quite yet. Then, shaking his head to clear his slight confusion, he inclines his head to each in a friendly bow, with a good-natured smile, hoping that it doesn't seem like he's intruding. ~Erm, how are you two?~
He uses his nose to brush away a few of the leaves that are stuck to him.

Soran seeing the other is indeed the Tyshiri they've been waiting for, returns the bow. ~i am doing well...~ suddenly realizing that's acting as if he's Yoral's protector, he tries to decide if he should step from in front of her or what... he hides the confusion he feels about how even Got in front of her by bending to nip a small tuft of vegitation he spies by his fore paw, as though that is the only reason he's standing in front of her... under the fur on his cheeks, he feels an intense blush of embarrassment running up them and is very glad for his fur at that point. he tries to remember if he knows the other stallion's name or not and feels extremely flustered... i am not handling this well at all... how can i make it known that i'm only trying to be a friend to her with out trying to be a burden to her? he thinks to himself wishing, not for the first time, some one would explain how to cope with others outside those he's grown up with

Mostyn, who isn't quite experienced with interacting with other Tyshiri, doesn't seem to notice Soran's protectiveness. He does, however, remember some forgotten manners. ~Erm, I nearly forgot, I'm Mostyn.~ He grins. ~I can be a bit forgetful, and though I know I've probably heard both of your names before, I can't quite recall them.~ He rolls his eyes. ~One of these days, I'll get everyone's names straightened out... hopefully...~

Soran nods, adjusting to move out of Yoral's way should she wish to move forward or something. ~this is Yoral and my name's Soran. pleased to meet you.~ he gives what passes for a Tyshiri smile... ~so what do you think of our quest so far? these thickets look like they're going to be quite a trip to get through... and the mountain looks pretty impressive from here.~ he adds the last as he looks up from where they're standing frowning a little... ~we've got a long way to go it seems... and the fangful one seems pretty sure we're going to need each other...~ he turns back to the other two... ~i hate to sound gloomy but the need rather worrys me... i think we best keep close to each other from here on out and keep a very wary eye open to everything going on around us.~ he finishes humbly, hoping he doesn't sound like a leader because he isn't one by nature.

Yoral breaks out of whatever trance she has been in and blinks. ~Oh, yes, Mostyn... hello.~ She scuffs the dirt with her feet, wondering if any had noticed how out of it she'd been. ~Shall we 'sally forth,' as they say?~ (OOC: I am teh suck. )

he nods his assent and waits to see what Mostyn wants to do since they need to be of close to one mind to get anywhere as a team...

~Aye, I'm ready to move on,~ Mostyn agrees. ~I'm rather curious to see what lies ahead... the mountain does look a bit intimidating. We'll manage, though, I'm sure,~ he says brightly.

The day passes by rather smoothly when the team works together. At one point there is a sharp ledge jutting out in the path above, and steep slopes on either side of this outcropping. The team will need to work together to overcome this obstacle.
OOC: Once this challenge is overcome, the trio will need to look for a semi-comfortable place to spend the night.

Soran looks at the outcropping carefully or as well as he can from where he is... is it obvious that it can't be climbed or gone around? he wonders. or if failing that, could the two stallions maybe fly formation-style with Yoral between them over it? he waits to see what his examination tells him before mentioning the ideas to the others and/or waits to see what they think as well.

Yoral eyes the ledge.
~Hmm. Who is lightest?~ She sort of smirks.
~I don't think you guys can fly...~ her voice trails off. ~I remember Mina mentioning that me not having wings wouldn't be an issue, and that everyone would be equal. So...~ she coughs a bit.
~I think maybe we could have a sort of pyramid to get over it? I'm not entirely sure.~ She seems slightly perplexed. ~So maybe not the lightest, because then that one would have to pull someone else up.~
An idea seems to find itself in her mind. ~The lightest and the heaviest will help the middle-sized one of us up on the ledge. Then the middle will help the lightest, and then those two will help the heaviest...~ she eyes the ledge again.
~That is, if we can reach...?~

looks a little startled that Yoral knew what he was thinking... then turns back to the task at hand... erm... Claw. ~hmmm....what about if one of us (the middle sized one as you suggested, Yoral) stood on the rump of one of the others of us and was -bucked- into the air? do you think we could reach the ledge that way? it might take a couple tries and would prolly hurt like thunder, but maybe it's crazy enough to work?~ he seems embarrassed at the idea but had to throw it out there just on the off chance it might be useful.

The tyshiri can reach the ledge with the top of their paws by standing on their hindquarters (keep in mind they do not have the physique of a human and therefore cannot do pullups with ease.) Their claws will help though.

Mostyn nods in agreement. ~With a bit of help, I'm sure one of us could manage relatively easily to get up...~ he muses aloud. ~Aye, I can't think of any better plan to try that that, Yoral... So now comes the question, which one of us is the heaviest, or middle, or lightest?~ He chuckles a bit. ~I definitely don't think I'm the lightest...~
