The heads shot up, water dripping from their massive jaws. Attalus was the first to spot the fairy; the light had caught his attention. "Whoa! What's with all the surprises today?" Romulus turned his head and looked at the fairy, Caesar peeping from around his brother's neck. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say it was a Lesser Fairy," said Romulus as though she couldn't hear him. Caesar rolled his eyes. Will they ever learn to be nice to newcomers? he thought. "Good morning, miss! A right beautiful morning it is, huh?" he asked Moonsong. "Sorry about my brothers; they're not normally the nice or cordial type." Romulus and Attalus shot angered glances at Caesar, but said nothing. It would have been odd if they started fighting and biting each other, because the pain would go to all three of them. "I would tip my crown at you if I could," Caesar explained to the fairy, "But unfortunately, it's stuck to my head..."

The fairy giggled and was relived that this creature was not an enemy.
Turning her head in the direction of the unicorn she shouted. "Tis alright! You can come out now."
Returning to the dragons Moonsong said. "You are most welcomed Master dragons, and please forgive my companion overthere...she's was a tad bit weary of your comeing."
Then cocking her head, she added. "What does your brother mean by 'all the surprises today'?"

Celeste peeped her head out from behind the tree. "Are you sure? Ohh..." The moment she saw it, she grew fascinated. She trotted out and stared up at the dragon, jaw dropped. "Three heads. I do say! That's wonderful. How do you get on with each other?"
"We don't," Romulus replied simply, then turned to the fairy again. He never liked unicorns. A nasty sort, they were. Too 'pure' for the likes of dragons. "And as for the question, he means..." "I mean," Caesar interrupted, glaring at Romulus, "I mean that there was another who randomly appeared, like you did. A... what did he call himself? An elf? Yes, that was it. He was cloaked and very mysterious... I was sniffing him when suddenly he just vanished! You don't do that, do you?"
"Hell-o," Celeste said impatiently, demanding their attention. Unfortunately for her, she got none.

"No I won't....but an elf!" Moonsong said excitedly. She loved elves and belived that they were a distant kin to the fairy. "But why would he disapear so suddenly disapear?Maybe he's a shy elf." She added with as a joke.

Attalus snickered, which sounded more like a growl. "That's a good one." Romulus thought for a second. "Hmm, I'm not sure, but he told us the way to the river, so he was a nice elf," he stated. "Unless he's putting up a false face," Caesar suggested. Attalus shrugged their shoulders. "We won't know till we see him again and ask."
Celeste sighed and trotted over to stand under Moonsong. At least if she wasn't part of the conversation she could still listen properly. She thought it fascinating to watch them talk and try to deduce things, and it only proved in her mind that "three heads are better than one". She smiled to herself and continued to listen.

"Where are my manners! I have not given you my name or my compainion." Moonsong said seeing her unicorn friend standing next to her. "I am Moonsong and this is Celeste."
~~~~~
Off in the shadows the elf wacthed. His eyes widen as he spoted the dark unicorn come out from her hiding place and walked tword the dragons. So it is her...He thought and sighed deeply remembering. I thought I recondnise you last night. A strange twist of fate brought us together.
Attalus, Romulus, and Caesar turned to Celeste and raised their eyebrows. "Pleasure," they said in unison, rather sarcastically. They all turned to Moonsong and smiled. "And where are ours? I am Romulus," said the center head, bowing. "I am Attalus," the head on the left introduced himself, also bowing. "And I'm Caesar!" the head on the right piped up. He, too, bowed at last.
Celeste sighed and lowered her ears. She noticed the strong dislike of unicorns the dragons had. But she'd have to bear it if she was going to travel with them.
Flying to a tree branch Moonsong sat down and started a conversation. "So what brings you here might I ask?"
"Just a drink from the river," said Romulus as the other two heads bent down to get another drink. "We've been travelling for a good while, and we got thirsty so.. here we are. And you?"
Celeste's nose wrinkled. She smelled something strange. She couldn't put her hoof on it, though, so she decided not to say anything about it.
The elf slowly backed away. He could tell even from a long distance the unicorn started to pick up his sent and he had no intenion to anouce his presance to her. The pain of guilt still burned inside him.
~~~~~~~~
"Well..." Moonsong explianed. "I was here to find out about a myth that turn out to be true." Then the fairy started her story although in a few spot Moonsong did manage to over exagerate a bit making her tale a bit more exciting.

Celeste's nostrils flared as she sniffed, still picking up the odd scent. She bent down to scratch her foreleg with her horn, peering inside the forest. She resolved herself to take a look. "Say... I think I'm going to go find some eats," she announced/lied to the dragon and her friend, quite in the middle of the story. Not like I'm needed here anyway. I think Moonsong's got them under control, she thought as she turned and trotted into the forest.
----
Attalus, Romulus, and Caesar all stood in awe as they listened to Moonsong's tale. It was a wonder to hear about a fight, and as they listened, a strange sense curdled up inside them - something they had never really felt before. They wanted to go out there now and hunt, and get into a fight just like Moonsong had. They wanted to be evil. Bloodthirstiness...? Caesar grinned. "Sounds like fun! I commend you on your efforts. Was it killed, or did you get away?" he inquired of her. Romulus's head ticked with thoughts of how to persuade the fairy to go killing, but he came up with nothing. Attalus just didn't seem to care much.

"Alright," the fairy said to Celeste and returned to the dragons. "No we didn't kill it, we just managed to wond it enough to get away. It'll take an army to kill the beast from what I heard these creatures can take a beating and still go on undonted." ~~~~~~~~
The elf went feather into the shadows ready to leave but then he suddenly stopped as a strange feeling came over him. As if something menace was watching him. This wasn't the frist time he felt this something was after him and was using black magic to find him.
Go away. I am not here! He thought using some of his power to block out this thing. It worked but he knew it would only be for awhile and whoever was looking for him now knew where he was.
And he had a horrible feeling of who it was.

Attalus, Romulus, and Caesar all raised their eyebrows. "Wow, do you know what kind of creature it was?" Attalus asked, quite intrigued. "Maybe we might know something of it." "I doubt it," Caesar said, poking his brother with his nose. "It doesn't sound like anything we'd know. We haven't been out on the plains since forever." Romulus nodded, looking around him as if he were being followed. "I say we go to the plains and check it out. Maybe we might find some game - I mean, maybe me might find it on the plains, yes, on the plains."
----
Celeste sniffed the air again. Plain and true, it came to her. It floated just around a few trees and into dark shadow. The grey unicorn turned her head towards where the elf stood, cloaked in shadow, as her ears lowered against her head. She could barely see where the scent was coming from. Follow your nose, she thought, and she began to trot over to where the elf stood. Just a few feet away from where the elf was, still unable to see him, she craned her neck and sniffed the air. Her nose was only a few inches away from him. The smell was very, very strong now...

"Hmm...good point but I tink this villan only comes out at night." Said the Lesser. "Evil always seems to like the night I don't know why...must be afraid of the light."
~~~~~~~~ Blinking suddenly the elf notice that the unicorns was in touching reach of him. So focased was he in working his magic he became unaware of her presance. There you are, so close to some who done you a great wrong long ago and yet you don't even relise it.
He thought the painful memories once more came back to him. Can you not forgive such a sin that I have commited?
Caesar thought about this prospect, and then nodded. "Hmm, I guess you're right. A good point you have there!" he exclaimed, still bobbing his head. "In that case," said Romulus, "Might we wait till nightfall?" He seemed very keen on going. He had always loved hunting, ever since he could remember. To him, this was a hunting trip. He could never pass it up. Attalus sighed. "Brother," he whispered to Romulus, catching on to what he wanted to do, "She may not even want us to hunt for it." "Let us see, let us see... Maybe it would be a favor to get rid of it..." Romulus licked his lips. "Or, if we just don't find it, we can always hunt for something else..."
----
Celeste sniffed again, leaning in farther. The scent was not so familiar to her yet, as she wasn't concentrating on connecting what it was to what she knew. However, this time, she sniffed so heavily and she was so close that the robes of the elf actually made contact with her nostril. She whinnied and reared at this sudden contact, backing up and glaring at the shadows. This is quite freaky, she thought, Me not being able to see who it is when I am so close... "Come forth from the darkness, be you friend or foe, and let me see your face!" she cried, tossing her head. "Lest I use my bare horn to drag you out! Although I wouldn't much like to..."
