Yesterday people had been combing the landscape wearing full armor and riding heavily barded horses looking for any trace of the creature of which they sought the sound of the bells attached to their mounts armorever present echoing through the orchard untill The moment one bell stopped... Today smoke rose from a quiet valley no audible or visible sign of life from within... The area had been turned into a large battlefield Scorched earth and bodies littered the ground, Mostly human with afew elves all apparently clawed, bitten, Crushed or burned. The burns did not seem to come from fire but rather something else that penetrated through the armor and anything else that happened to be in the way leaving a scorch mark on both sides of the bodies. But the fighting has stopped and only one creature remains, Although it is inprobable that it will stay for long. Covered in long wounds on nearly every side And impaled upon a ballista bolt the dragon slowly digs despite its tattered wings and bloodied claws. Why do they always follow? No matter how far or how fast... Will it stop? Maybe it will stop today... he looks down at the the huge bolt protruding from his chest and winces Now will it end? he moves one hand towards the bolt but fails to summon the strength to even touch it. (( I can't beleive I just typed all that semi randomly... www.geocities.com/thalron2002/temp/Thal.gif < that type of dragon ))

(( its fine ^_^; oh yeah and all the men are err... Dead... if you hadn't guessed ))
The dragon glares at the ground once more and returns to digging releasing a deep growl before striking the ground angerily "Do these humans even deserve grave?! The pain they felt lasted only moments yet what they inficted upon me will last in memory for much longer than they could even hope to live." blue blood mixed with traces of red spatter out of the chest wound around the bolt for afew seconds before he sighs and continues to dig the short trenches for what seems likely to be more than fifty men scattered across the battlefield.

Suddenly the Lesser spots the dragon. Not knowing wheather it was the dragon that caused all this or something else she silantly flies behind the trees trying to get a better look at this dragon.

The wounds covering the dragon are obviously from the men which lay dead around the battlefield, some of the swords still with blue blood clinging to them.
The dragon has apparently not let down its gaurd though and its eyes dart around before focusing on the trees that the fairy had hid behind "Have you come to kill me aswell?" The dragon asks loud enough to make sure that anything over there could hear him probably not aware of what it is that is hiding behind the trees

The fariy stopped in mid-fight. I've been spotted! Well I geuss there's no use in hiding. Though a little scared ( not of what the dragon might do to her but of what she thought he might of done) she came out from behind the trees. "Err no...I-what happened I mean why are all these people dead?"

He coughs spattering some blood onto the ground which immediatly sizzles and sparks "They came to kill me and I defended myself, Aswell as I could anyways..." he shudders hoping that his nerves will not come out of shock for awhile...

He coughs again "If you want to know... Ask them." he says with anger rising in his voice "And I suppose it took you until now to notice this?" He asks with a glance to the bolt which is protruding from both his chest and back...

The fariy's face twisted in horror but she steaded herself. "I got some healing water I don't think it's enough to heal you compleitly but it better then nothing." She said taking out a small bottle. "Err..by the way my name is Moonsong." She added.

He smiles slightly then shudders and coughs more blood onto the ground before he manages to steady himself "I Cannot accept it, I am sorry But I cannot trust you just yet." he looks down at the bolt once more but still can't bear the thought of trying to remove it. Looking back up at the fairy he smiles slightly and looks around "Some of the horses may still be alive, You could use it on them." he offers as alternative use for the healing water

Moonsong starded at him for a second. Can't trust a fairy! She thought Odd dragon She her kind wern't perfect in a scence in being more or less like children but a Lesser fairy wouldn't go around back-stabing anyone. Well not any Lesser that she know of.
But Moonsong decide to go along after all this dragon been through alot so she must be understanding.
"Then what can I prove your trust dragon?" She asked flying over some of the noble steeds that she thought might still be alive.

He watches her in silence for several moments as if contemplating what a answer to that would be... but just before he replies almost as if his hand acted on its own he grabs the ballista bolt and pushes it all the way through and out of his back, His eyes widening as the pain comes back to him Managing to stand for only afew seconds before falling to the ground heavily

Hearing a thud from behind her Moonsong turns around seeing the fallen dragon. He yanked out the ballista! Didn't he realise that doing that he could bleed to death
Without hesitating she flew over the dragon's wound and opened up her bottle of healing water.
