Blue on blue wings held loosely at her sides and feathers fluttering in her mane and tail, Devaina'tey peers out into the orchard, her old stomping ground. Her daughter, grown and beautiful by now, trots out beside her. "I don't see anyone, mother," Devasta mourns softly, rather sad at the distict lack of others of their kind. She shakes out her silver mane and trots ahead, looking left and right hopefully. Deva sighs "You know, we havn't been here in quite a while.. perhaps there's a lul in the activity just now." Devasta stomps a hoof, then wanders off a little further untill she's mostly out of sight. Her mother sighs again and lays down, humming to herself and playing with the pendant around her neck. On the wind, a sound of a deep sweet voice sings an old song. The words could not be heard yet, but the wind carries it to Deva's ears and she could never forget to whom it belonged.
As it drew closer the words became clearer, "Like the sun it shines Endlessly it shines You always will be mine Eternal love
Whatever love went wrong Ours would still be strong We’d have our own Everlasting love
This love will last forever This love will last forever..."
He was not far from them.

At the first sound, Deva's ears perk. Her daughter is too far away by now to hear, but she recognizes the voice immediately. Even such a long absence from eachother could not erase his memory, as sharp and vivid now as it was the last day they'd seen eachother.
She doesn't stand, however, or even make herself more visible. Instead, she smirks faintly and nestles into the shadows untill she is one of them. Then, as the song continues and grows closer, she begins humming a faint harmony.

"Open up your eyes Then you’ll realize Here I said was my Everlasting love
Need you by my side Come and be my bride Never be denied Everlasting love
From the very start Open up your heart Feel the love you’ve got
Everlasting love.."
When he heard that sweet soft harmony at first he thought he was imagining her voice. His voice faltered and stopped, but he could still hear it.
Wait....could it be?
He charges out from behind the trees, shining brown mane floating in the air, a blue feather fluttered tied in his mane. Ayr skids to a stop, ears perked, eyes searching for that beautiful and long awaited countenance.
He couldn't see her, though he desperately searched in circles listening, but it was hard to hear it above the pounding of his heart.
"Deva?" In that one word he put in all his longing and loneliness for her company. "Deva...!" Ayr nearly shouted achingly.

Oh, the poor boy! Deva couldn't help her giggle as he dashed out of the trees opposite her hiding place, but now she feels sorry for hiding from him. Still, he's very near her now, if she had stayed where she was instead of hiding, Ayr would have run over her already. That mental image makes her giggle again, but she tries to muffle it in her wing, peering up at the stallion where he stands, not five feet away.
Far away, Devasta's ears perk at the faint sound of her father's voice across the orchard, then grins and gallops full throttle back towards where she'd left her mother. She would neither be seen nor heard yet.. but very soon they will both hear the thunder of hooves as she bore down on them.

Did he hear a giggle? Ayr realizing how silly he was acting calmed down...granted he hadn't seen her in ages surely he was allowed to be silly.
And finally, he saw her in the shadows face in her wing, eyes sparkling with mirth. Slowly he walked forward, lowering his face as he did so and touched her silken cheek with his velvet nose. Too choked up to speak he wordlessly falls to his knees and snugs her close.
He did not hear the hoove sof his daughter yet...

Deva beams and leans against him as he lies near her. "Been a loong time, hasn't it? I was beginning to think you didn't love me anymore," she teases.
Deva looks as though she could sit there forever... but just then the hoofbeats of her daughter catch her attention. She grins "Uh oh.. sounds as though our firstborn has decided to pay us a visit."

Aye laughs rather shakily at the teasing. "Been so long I was afraid you didn't love /me/ anymore." It was half in jest and yet..there was an underlying ring of truth that the fear had been real. *nuzzles her ears* Being able to touch her again was wondrous.
He looks up eagarly, "Our little Candy is here too?" Then he wondered if he should get up before she gets there. The big old stalion was getting alittle old to be affectionately attacked by children...or so he sometimes felt. Old bones be darned he wanted to hold his Candy again.
Ayr carefully gets up onto his feet before his daughter arrives.
