With the date of Geocities' D-Day getting ever closer, I cannot help but worry over the fates of many of the Raveen Kats still paged on Geocities whom I haven't received new URLs for yet. On October 26, 2009 those pages will be gone from the web, as Geocities/Yahoo is purging all of the free sites from their servers. And those without new URLs, or an extension, will be abandoned.
There are still many - many - Raveen Kats and other BP Critters up on Geocities sites. Some of these have already vanished into the web graveyard. I haven't heard anything on new URLs for some of these critters, and I'm considering them abandoned if I don't hear anything from their adopters before Geocities' expiration date arrives. So please, if you had your BP critters up on a Geocities account, send me new URLs for them if you want to keep them.
If you're finding yourself unable to find an immediate place to host their pages; let me know. I can (and will) give you an extension to do so. But please make sure you contact me(GI) before the deadline.
Commissioned BP creatures whose pages vanish will not be readopted out. But those received through regular adoption will be. So please if you want to keep your BP creatures, make sure you send along their new URLs before October 26, 2009.
The list of abandoned RKs is already quite large, and I've no doubt after October 26th it will have a few more added to it. A list of abandoned RKs/BP creatures will be posted shortly after the deadline has passed, and readoptions for them may take place in November.
Important! Please make sure to CC your new URLs to dragonflight@lostmysanity.net, so that DF can have immediate access to the new URLs for updating the Parents Listing. Thank-you!
