Soo, Ddpej, a good friend of mine, opened up a "flatsale" on her little derpy owls called Derplings! Here are some examples: I think that they are uber-cute. She's giving them out at the Garden Terrace, which is a place I went to when the Orchard started dying just before my mission, but is now pretty dead, too. >.< Anyhow, I'd be willing to "buy" them for you, as they're only 27 g. So you can either join and post that way--- or you can post here if you're interested, and I'll "buy" it for you! ^_^ :CLICKY HERE FOR OWLY DERPLINGS:Right now they are just eggies. But they will grow into beautiful Derplings.

Also, some infos: Derplings are a remarkably useless species of bird. Though they bear a distinct resemblance in body shape to certain varieties of large owls, derplings are smaller than their distant wild relatives and fully dependent on human care to survive. They have no hunting drive to speak of and are, as a whole, very poor fliers -- assuming they can manage to get off the ground at all. Most derplings exhibit some degree of crossed eyes, and even those without them demonstrate a marked inability to focus. Though they breed willingly with no concern for who they're paired with, the eggs are abandoned shortly after they are laid. Furthermore, derplings have the approximate intelligence level of your average rock. They neither recognize nor respond to speech and attempts at training, being simply incapable of summoning sufficient brainpower.
Nevertheless, derplings have flourished in the hands of collectors and breeders for the simple reason that they have commonly colorful plumage and fairly frequent mutations. Though an occasional egg won't hatch, and can be kept as a decorative knickknack, each nest can have anywhere from one to seven eggs and all successful hatchlings will grow to be healthy, fertile adults. Because they abandon their eggs so readily, all derplings -- even females -- can be bred twice in a breeding season if desired. Some males are able to participate in an additional pairing as well, though most don't have the stamina for three matings. Inbreeding is known to occur if related derplings are housed together during the breeding season; it will concentrate the genes of that bloodline, but there are no defects associated with inbreeding and therefore no regulations against it.

*bounces happily* Ooh, he's quite the handsome Derpling! I love the contrast between his subtle brown markings and the sharpness of his white ones. ^^ I named him Caoran, and he's paged here: strangelydreamt.byethost9.com/ddpej/rankinst.htmlThanks so much again for buying him for me Pega!
