In my continued quest to not draw cute animal things and throw them at people, I will here offer you a -much easier- thing to have from me. DRYADS.

These are -always- female, and usually competitive or stand-offish. Tree-based dryads are based on one single tree and the area around it - they cannot exist far from their tree. Though trees like locusts that can grow clones from themselves can extend their range. Flower-based dryads' ranges extend as far as the clones (or seeds, in the case of annuals) of their original plants prosper.

They're older examples, and I want to try things with this new batch I'm doing, but idk if I'll be able to (internal ambition v. hand-ambition ... it's dicey XD; )

I SHOULD ADD that I tend to draw these ladies kind of racily dressed, but I'll be modest for you guys. Unless you really don't care, lol. (PLANTS DO NOT WEAR CLOTHES STOP LOOKING AT ME FUNNY)

Ideal personality of dryad: Well, it is named in Mapudongo, the language of the Native Americans of Chile. They are a very friendly people if you speak their language, and love to barter. But, they also can be very cold and standoffish if you don't know them. Like most other natives, they have been mistreated in the past and are not taken to trusting European-looking people such as myself. :3 I only met Mapuches a first time. They are wonderful people, but this would describe them for me. ^_^

Ideal personality of dryad: Cheerful and Cute (when she's left to her own devices in ~*~nature~*~) but with a morbid streak. She can be a little petty at times and especially is not fond of strangers in her Garden, but for the most part she is talkative, easily distracted, and does her own thing.<br/><br/>I feel silly with my super common flower compared to all those lovely exotics (may I mention I had an angel trumpet that looks fantastically like that in my yard back in Florida?) but I can't ignore uncommonly pretty petunias. Photo is actually mine as well. n_n

Janalee - Sarracenia purpurea is one of Uny's -favorite things in the WORLD-. They're also -totally native- around where I live, so I have a huge fondness for them. X3 (though I think they're -totally native- to most of the US, lol)

I have sketched Janalee's and Uny's dryads. I am -extremely- tickled with Janalee's and Uny is all squeetastic about her own (the benefits of being my roommate: you get to see sketches of what I'm making for you, lol XD; ).

Willow's I will likely get to tonight, but it depends on a level of drama in a number of things. <3
