Ooooh, I love my two! That 'treefall' color on my boy is especially handsome, and the markings on my girl remind me of a moon phases chart somehow, which seems exceptionally fitting to me.  Thanks so much for both of them ddpej, and I'll try to get them paged soon! |

SunBlind: He is a bit witchy, isn't he? There's not a derp in the world that could actually perform Hogwarts duties, though, bless their pretty little useless hearts. x3 I could absolutely see him as the result of a botched, say, book-to-owl transformation, though! All the pretty colors of the book cover and not an ounce of intelligence. As for your girl, yes! I would have snagged her in a heartbeat if her egg hadn't been chosen. (The one I did snag was loosely based on the Snowshoe breed, so I can't complain. Yay cats!) Janalee: I hadn't thought of the moon chart tie-in, but now that you mention it.. Neat! And your boy has the distinction of being the first full-body rainbow variant, as it's tricky to get from a genetic standpoint and there aren't that many derps out there yet. I did it intentionally -- every derpling in this batch has at least one unusual trait -- but actually figuring out how I wanted to portray it took me a little while. What is this "planning" thing I keep hearing about..? Given that there are only a few folks adopting at the moment, would y'all prefer that I do another adoption batch before I open up a breeding thread? If I do, it'll be organized like this one but I'll be open to influence beforehand regarding what traits you'd like to have a shot at/have included in the batch somewhere. Mostly I'm concerned that there aren't a lot of derps for you to choose from for breeding purposes yet. You would be free to use my derps for breeding if desired, but that's still only three and doesn't really open up all that many possibilities? If y'all are satisfied with your options and would rather get the breeding party started, though, I'm fine with that. So. Thoughts?

I was going to make another birthday batch this year, but then I realized I won't have time (I keep forgetting my birthday is literally three days away now, lol). Also, I don't want to steal any thunder from the grand return of Pega and the C'bana! So. I shall raffle off the unclaimed derp from this round as my little birthday bash instead, I think, and bask in the glory of the Festival of Awesomeness, and then get a breeding thread up sometime in July.

*laughs* Well, advance planning or not, this particular rainbow variant is gorgeous! ^_^ Mm, and now I feel like I may have to do some planning of my own for future breeding seasons... And sorry for the delay- they're all named and paged now though! And I just realized that I apparently never did that for the wonderfully marked 133... *blushes* At least it's rectified now though? XD |

Lovely names! I've updated the directory accordingly. ^_^ And no worries re: Astitim -- since the rules are so casual, there is really no such thing as late when it comes to derps!
