Hmm, I think it would be cool to meet up at an established nifty place. People would need to be able to find places to stay, so it couldn't be too random... and if people are flying out, there would probably need to be some sort of draw to the area (and an airport nearby!) Theme park jumps to my mind, something of that nature maybe Another con could work, but... some of us aren't into anime (*hides*), and I dunno how many other cons we could manage to find that would suit everyone's fancy...

I call dibs on an artist alley table *_*
hm, there's Dragon Con in Atlanta Ga. HUGE con, I'm mean HUGE as in they even have thier own parade huge *_*
but totally NOT something I'd allow a 12-year old into XD;; some of the costumes can get a little... racy. Though I totally agree with the guys in chainmail loincloths *_*
umm... <_< >_>
there's also AWA in Georgia = Anime Weekend Atlanta, Otacon which I believe is in Boston? Or something like that, Sakuracon in Washington, I can't name any others off the top of my head. But Ga. would be a good con place, big city, HUGE airport, planes from everywhere go there. Lots of sights and touristy things, mebby it could work?

As much as we love Silv, I think more people is better, thusly all adoption communities, per Sky. lol Dragon Con would be awesome... It takes about 11 hours for me to drive to GA. Chainmail loincloths??

Actually, when you think about it, the anime conventions are necessarily PG rated in all areas, either...

lol, while anime cons can have some partial nutidy at best, it's usually tasteful XD And everything x-rated you need an ID for >3 *been there, done that, has the shirt and wears it proudly*

I snicker at the mere mention of anime conventions today because I just started watching Genshiken yesterday. ;D

<.< I don't know if I like the bigness of y'alls ideas. I'm thinking like... family reunion-sized. We could have a campout in tents or something in the summertime and just hang out in some wildernessish/but-not-really-hard-to-findish area. Camping is less expensive(in general) than hotels. Mmmnyeah. Plus more fun... in my opinion. But even then... flushing toilets and showers are usually a plus.

CAMPING! I vote camping!! But preferably with bathrooms I was never quite the roughin' it sort of Girl Scout... A lot of camping grounds do have bathrooms though. At least, a bunch in my area. Or we can camp outside of Lessa's 6 bedroom house! Ehehehe.

6 bedroom house is in town, so I'm afraid there wouldn't be much camping going on save for a tent or three... But there's plenty of campgrounds within an hour of the area, and there is an airport right in town. Also greyhound is a much cheaper way to go unless you get a good deal on airline tickets.
All the KOA campgrounds I've been too have the flushing toilets/showers so maybe look for one of those?
