Alright... so I've been chatting with people at complete random on aim, and this idea popped into my head. We're all so wide-spread... I mean... look at our frapper! How cool would it be if we all met up in a centralized area? I would love to meet a lot of you guys... be it art talk, art trading/buying, or tossing popcorn around and watching movies! So suddenly it came to me... why not plan a Cyberpet Con? I mean c'mon... they have cons for everything else don't they? We could plan like... months or a year in advance to do this so everyone could come. We could call a hotel or something, book an area or a bunch of rooms, and all go to just hang out and chat for a weekend!
Does this sound awesome, or is it just me? Maybe I'm just a raving lunatic...

I remember that we had a thread about this a couple months ago...regarding what was consequently dubbed "Silv-con"...but there were quite a few issues arrising around cost, parental permission, etc.

Cost is my biggest worry, thus the planning years in advance ^_^

Yeah, I think the general idea during the whole SilvCon thread was that people had interest in going, but a lot of the younger Orcharders might not be able to go due to money/parents. I think we should also consider how many people there really are in teh cyberpetting community. I mean, anime conventions, etc have thousands and thousands of people that share the cost of renting the space. How many people would actually go? I mean, defragging the cost among only a handful of people, and we probably will be having SilvCon in a bingo hall in Kansas somewhere. ;-) I would go, though!

Hmm mostly it was Where exactly to have the Silv-con so that people would have a reasonable chance of making it.

..Vancouver, cause then I wouldn't have to go anywhere >_>
Considering the cost and immense planning that a con would entail, I still like the idea of meeting up at an already established con instead XD

I suppose considering how few of us there were it wouldn't technically be a con. But then again even something unofficial where we all met up and did our thing?
