(( an i'er is a herd, pretty much. hehe it's compromised of at least 3 naa, needing at least one of each gender. hehe bonded naa i'eres usually don't grow bigger than 20 naa, but that may change to the wild trends, in which there is no set limit to the number of naa in an i'er. ^^ hope that helps.
and i can't seem to find the prefix un- or the suffic -ed. ><;;; i miss my notebooks with all my notes!!! lol
*pokes dawby* are you no longer signed on to aim? lol ))
That's them, Broken sent tightly to Solearth and male's ears flicked back slightly before narrowing back towards the oncoming couple.
Greetings to you of the Scu'e Liyores I'er, the Kaigiahen called evenly, mental voice almost a monotone as he called the name of the pair's lost I'er.
The deep blue stallion's ears flattened against his head, and his slim orange gaze narrowed even further. He didn't say anything however, seeming to await the mare's judgement call on the matter.
Solearth's ears twitched slightly in thought. Perhaps they found themselves with no need for the Kaigaihen any longer.

The red mare stops shortly. For a long moment, she sizes up the two naa.
The what? she sends coldly, allowing everyone present to hear her disdain. She takes an unconscious halfstep closer to the big male at her hooves.
((Ohhh... see, that's what I thought it was, but I got confuzed because I didn't know my mare had an I'er [though I guess she would have had to have originally] and started thinking maybe it was something else! Thankies! woot... can't wait to play with her background/learn about her background.))

Harily takes as tep back from the red mare. He didn't really know how to handle an angry female. Is something wrong? he asked looking between the two.

(( yyyaahhhh. . hehe ^^ trying to give good enough clues, because i hate trying to play something i don't know. . . lol so, yah, just got that translated (( Wild Springs, in case you were wondering )). so. yah. anyways, it was a pretty large herd, and they really don't know wot happened to anyone else so. . yepp. ^^ any specific questions? ))
I inquire of your I'er, Solearth replied evenly to the mare, still watching them carefully; the Kaigaihen had only just learned of the abduction, much less know who had taken them and wot had happened.
The dark stallion moved up beside the mare, ears still back, and teeth baring in definite warning to the Kaigaihen. It's of no concern to you, he fairly growled at the other Naa.
I disagree, the other stallion responded flatly. Where are the others? Why did you leave them behind?
The orange-striped stallion moved fully between the small mare and the others. (( awww! so protective! hehe ))

The mare steps up to stand beside her companion. Tail lashing, eyes blazing, the naa snorts warningly.
Who are you?
She turns her furious glare briefly on the bewildered multi-colored naa. Narrowing her eyes, she considers him for a moment before she seems to disgard him as unassociated with the maddening pair standing with him and therefore ultimately unthreatening.

Solearth's head came up in surprise; they had forgotten the Kaigiahen? But the animosity in the gazes and the air of hostility attested to the fact. He glanced at Broken, and the mare sent him a look of appraisal as well.
We are the Kaigaihen, Solearth said, voice suddenly gentle, Do you not remember us?
The large stallion's ears flicked forward uncomfortably and he half-turned his head to look questioningly at the mare.

The little mare freezes but for her ears, which flick back and forth with nervous, furious speed.. She turns her head, searching her companion's face for some suggestion or help. Finding none, she paws the ground in frustration and looks back again at the two Kaigaihen. Behind her blue eyes is a new expression, something akin to fear.
I have heard the name, she finally responds. But I do not know you.

Few know us, Solearth said quietly, trying to bring the mare some ease. But remembering the Kaigaihen is a relief.
The dark-coloured stallion left his ears flat, flicking his docked white tail uncomfortably again.
I am Solearth, the Kaigaihen abruptly introduced himself. This is Broken-shin. He tilted his nose towards the mare, then glanced over towards Harily, inquiring if the stallion wanted to introduce himself.

Harily watch the other Naa for a moment. He didn't like confrontations, but life was full of things you don't like. I am Harily Couel, from la'Xöliten I'er. Bowing towards the newcomers, he wondered exactlt who they were.

The strange naa mare glances from Broken to Solearth to Harily. She doesn't offer a name herself, only nods in curt acknowledgement, though without rude intent. She presses close to the big stallion.
I don't like this, Bismark, she sends to him tersely. I want to go on.

Then we'll go on, the large, dark stallion replied flatly, moving into the lead, letting his hostility saturate the air.
Broken narrowed her eyes, crossing slightly to move again into the pair's path. You cannot pass, she spoke, her own mental voice flat.
Forgive our forwardness, Solearth broke in. But we cannot allow the others to remain in their. . . captivity. He was obviously trying to level the waters again. Let us help. He sent Broken a sharp reprimand to stand down; they couldn't afford to antagonize the pair. But. . . she ignored him.
Bismark showed his teeth again, small draconic wings flaring outwards slightly as silvered claws rent the earth. You have offered no real assistance thus far, the words were thrown out at the pair. Where were you when we were taken? All that time in that. . . he shuddered, tossing his head upwards.

At Bismark's side, the smaller naa rears up in righteous fury, her paws cutting through the air, making her seem suddenly much bigger and far more threatening. She comes down hard, enraged as much at the words of the Kaigaihen as at herself for being unable to simply walk away.
There is no Scu'e Liyores, she shoots back, trembling with anger. Only us. Only us!! You Kaigaihen know nothing! You weren't there. You never saw.. never saw what they did!
Then she is small and frightened again, and looking very young and very fragile.
Please just let us go.

Bismark bowed his head to gently run the edge of his face plate along the mare's neck, trying to calm her even as he radiated murderous intent at the Kaigaihen.
We can see wot they have done to you, Broken said flatly. Solearth turned to look sharply at her, but she ignored him. We see the evidence there before our eyes, Ani're Snaes.
Solearth winced, hoping the pair didn't know the rather rude remark. Broken-shin, he said quietly, and the mare tossed her head as she stared back at him, allowing the others to hear her speak to the stallion. You hide behind kindness, Solearth. Open your eyes and look at them. They are mutated, they are changed. Ani're. They are yet Naa and we will not reject them, but this attitude cannot be allowed; not for the good of Naa.
You forget, the stallion's words lashed back, showing, perhaps, who truly led this partnership and giving a hint of the steel beneath the Kaigaihen's kindly demeanour. That many Naa are like these. Some are worse. We are not the judges of our kind, Broken-shin. We are their servants.
Broken's blue eyes narrowed and her ears flattened against her head, but, after a long moment, she bowed her head in acquiesce. The stallion continued to stare at her for a long moment, then turned back to the other, eyes moving over first Harily, then the unnamed mare, then Bismark. Oh, wot a mess.
Solearth deliberately turned his back on Broken then and moved a step closer to the pair. The mare gave a sound of something akin to frustration, but she made no move and said nothing more. The Kaigaihen stallion regarded the strange mare and stallion before him for a long moment, and the twisting anguish he felt for them showed in his eyes despite his training and nature. I fear many more wounds will be opened, he said quietly, eyes resting on the mare, the decisionmaker of the two. You are right that we do not know; that is why I come to you now. We have been watching for some sign of your lost I'er, but you are the first real clue to wot has occurred. There was nothing at your once grounds. No hint of who, or how, or wot, or when. The entire I'er, just gone. The Kaigaihen hope to see all of you free.
Bismark could not look at the stallion. He had gotten this mare free, but he couldn't get any of the others. His eyes closed and his head bowed in shame. His wounds had finally healed, but his heart still ached for the others, their lost family. Why couldn't he have saved anyone else? Why?

He might be her self-appointed protector, and larger and older and stronger than she, but she was also his protector, his champion, and she could not bear to see him so defeated. She had a momentary thought of herself as the jealous winged guardian of his dignity and pride, and turned a ferocious glower on the strangers that dared to look upon him in such a vulnerable state.
She never asked Bismark what he could remember of their life in peaceful times when she was still a foal, and especially never asked what he could remember of the dark times after that; she simply accepted that the stallion remembered far more than she did, and while she usually considered the absence of anything more than confused images of her near past as a true blessing, it was at moments like this that she would give anything to take on the burden of memory upon herself alone.
She lifted her face, touched her nose to his briefly in a rare show of affection.
When she finally spoke to Broken and Solearth, it was in a softer tone, still apprehensive, not yet trusting, definitely not forgiving, but almost receptive. And why would you think you could be of any help?

Harily watched with something close to fear in his eyes. He didn't know what was going on, and that made him more than a little uncomfortable. If you don't mind me asking. . .what happened? He stopped for a moment and considered what he had just asked. If it is too pianful to speak of, by all means, tell me to mind me own business. . . he said with a nervous chuckle, hoping tp lighten the mood just a bit.
