The Life of Kado' Anelian (Magic Posseser)

Kado laughed again. "No, I don't know everything about him, because I've only heard rumors about him and his existance. He is supposidly a magician that lives in a cave in the mountains. There are many tales about him. Things like: he can grant wishes, change appearances, kill. But like I said, they are only rumors that I have heard. I don't even know if he is real," Kado said as he looked up into the mountains. He felt as if he would be able to see him, standing on one of the peaks. No, that is stupid Kado. Now look what you've done, you've put a silly thought into these horse's heads, and Gollor might not even be real. Kado thought to himself.

Garama lets out a delighted squeal and does a happy dance in a circle around Flys and Verin.

"Oo, that sounds so exciting! Let's go find him! Maybe he has ferrets! Please, pleeease!!"

[Stormelle]

Verin grins, " Dosen't really matter to me..I'm just bored out of my mind..You Flis?"
Flis eyes him but nods, "Yeay..Never been boreder.." she grinning slighlty at Garama.

"What's with the ferrets?" Kado asks laughing. By then they had reached the edge of the mountains. Starting to climb upward on the trail, Kado thinks to himself again... What if he is real... do you think he could bring your father back? Stop thinking that, your dad is gone, get used to it Kado...

[Sorry about all the dad stuff, but this story is starting to get on very slowly, and hasn't had a lot of excitment, so I'm trying to add some mystery ]

"I've never seen a ferret," Garama explains earnestly as they slowly amble down the path. "I hear they're very sneaky, though, and you can never tell where one might be hiding.

"My dream," she pauses dramatically, "is to catch a ferret."

She stops walking. "Oh, my. Someone's coming. Can you hear?"

[Stormelle]

Verin follows them in silence but nods, 'Yep..Wonder whoo..Flis wanna sneak forward and see if you can see who it is?"
Flis glares at him slightly before troting nervously twored the nosie.

Garama does a few signature dance steps. "Yay! Someone new!"

Farther down the path, just out of sight from Flis, a young male paint canters purposefully up the path.

"Ferrets aren't very nice," Kado says, "Their teeth are very sharp, and can give you a good nick if you get too close." The young stallion walks up. "Hello newcomer! Would you like to travel with us to find the magician Gollor?"

[Dawby]

Garama seems pleased to hear about the nasty sharp teeth of ferrets. "Just think," she says dreamily. "To have my own tamed ferret. I could train her to be a guard ferret! Or.. or... or an attack ferret!! Yeah!"

She blinks, coming out of her reverie. Seeing the new unicorn, she squeals in delight and gallops over to him.

"Kila!!"

The young stallion winces. "Please don't call me that."

Garama ignores him, and pokes him happily with her horn - a little carelessly, too. "This is Kila! He just moved into my steppe at home! Isn't he just the cutest thing?" She pokes him gleefully again.

The other unicorn pointedly moves out of her reach. He turns to the others with a pained look on his handsome face. "Sorry about her. She's a little... exuberant sometimes. I didn't mean to be following you, but I had nothing to do today, so I thought I'd go after Garama. I'm Kilajoanan."

"It means Icewind," Garama explains importantly. "He's a painted crystal like me, but he was born in Allonia, not the Valley."

Kilajoanan rolls his eyes. He spots Flis and looks surprised. "Aren't you a little short for a unicorn?"

Kado laughed, "An attack ferret, what will you think of next?" After the introduction of Kilajoanan, Kado says, "Ya, I think that she makes the journey more exciting," he says. Kado speaks in an undertone to Kilajoanan, "And we've already gotten used to her, so it's ok." When Kila makes the comment about Flis, Kado pipes in, "Hey, we need to learn not to make a big deal about people's differences, it will make the world a better place!" Everyone stares at him like he is stupid. Kado flicks his mane out of his eyes again and tries to get over his stupid moment by acting cool.

Verin lauged slightly when Kila spoke to Flis.
Flis glared at him, " It's part of my breed..We are all little like this.." she said fliking her silver tail happily.
Verin nodded, "'Hello to you. I'm Verin and this is Flis..."
Flis stapped her foot angrily, " My name is not Flis! It's Flis'yiv please get that though your head Verin'rind"
Verin grinned, "Don't think I will Flis.."

"Come on you two, stop fighting! Let's get going before it gets dark," Kado said.

[Dawby]

Kilajoanan looks sheepish. "Sorry, I've never seen one of my father's kind like you before. Flis'yiv. Got it. I don't like my name being shortened, either. Nice to meet you, too, Verin."

Garama prances, completely oblivious. "Come on, Kila - oops, Kilajoanan." She giggles. "We're going to find Gollor and ask him about ferrets."

The other unicorn groans. "Ferrets again."

At the top of the trail they find a fork in the path. "Which way should we take?" asked Kado, "Left or right?" A tree in the middle of the fork had two branches on the left side, and one on the right.

[Dawby]

Garama canters left, skids to a stop, then canters right, then stops in bewilderment. "This way! No, no, this way! No, no - eek, I don't know!"

Kilajoanan tilts his head. "The left fork looks like it goes upwards more. Verin, Flis'yiv - what do you think?"
