New shreik searching

"I CLAIM you!" Stalker's Prowl shouted, mostly to make sure the female across the water, not knowing that shouting was the only way for him to understand. She just thought that he didn't realize that he had been claimed yet- silly male, not paying attention to her.

"MINE!" she repeated, and took one more step towards the other female, into shallow water, hissing at the female, accepting her challenge. "Come and get him!"

"Wait- What's your name?"

With an inward sigh, Borealis looks up, finally really noticing the havoc surrounding her. Not that she cared... in fact, she-just-didn't-care. Period. After all... there were only two or so males here, just enough for one shriek. One. Not two. So why the two loud females were fighting over them, she had no idea. But of course she didn't understand, she couldn't and never really would. While her mind was sharp, working like a diplomat in it's more lucid stages, something was not right with her, a certain gene left out of the pool, making her as docile as a sleeping male, unable to understand a fighter's glory or pride. It rankled her though, the total unnecessity of it all. I mean, clearly both females were excellent fighters and not-excellent swimmers. Why not join up and share the only two males available (that she herself could see)? After all, a shriek must have two males, not one... so even splitting up the males wouldn't get the fighters what they wanted. Of course, all this rational thinking wore her out, and she sank back into oblivion before really coming to an answer.

Flame jumped down from the rock he was staring at the females trying to make the two fighting females look at him.He looked googly eyed at the two hoping one would like him but hoped they wouldnt hurt him he didnt like fights and thought maybe if he had a mate that was strong he wouldnt get hurt by others.

Danger looked at the new male that had made a big apperance and bit fragile's collar and pulled him away from the scene and ran away pulling him with her.Hoping the two females were distracted by the male so that they wouldnt notice.


Flare just watched the scene and started whinning towards the grey female hopeing she would come after him and be his mate.He called to her with a wimmpering noise hoping she would come to him and forget the other male."he's def any way dont you want some one who can help you raise children so that he can keep track of them what if there was a predetor and he didnt hear it to kill it if it were near and trying to attack?"

Fragile's Rock cringed, "I'm not THAT deaf!" He shouted back at the female.. he rolled his eyes and smiled, "So.. you two ladies both want me? Let's see some cat.. I mean Raptor Fights!" He looked at the females, hoping they would be brave enough to do so.

Ego's Nonexistence just walked away.. she did not want to be a part of this anymore...

A new female steps out into the squabble very quietly. Her pattern glinting in the sunlight.. "I see we're forming shreiks here..." she said, swishing her tail and walking around, inspecting all of the males.. "I need some willing mates.." She circled one of the males (Flame). "Anybody interested?" she asked coyly.

Stalker's prowl leapt at the new female, the black one with the white patch. "NO! He's MINE!" She screamed and tried to bite the other's ears off- if the pain got too much, she'd have to let go.

"And as for you-" she managed to spit out at the male, the grey one, "I have no use for a male like you, you-" and here she said something that is not translatable into english, but was very rude and implied, although did not actually say, that she was questioning said male's sexual preferences or implying that he gave it away for free.





((Basicly, she kinda called him a very *friendly* person/sleeper and a dyke in the same breath. I've had the same done to me, and I don't mean to spite either you or Flare, but like I said, I'm having WAY to much fun playing her as a sexist pig... sorry.))

At the stream of bad language, Borealis lifts her head yet again. Jeez, what was it with these people and getting her out of her stupor..? Oh well, can't be helped. Getting to her feet, she surveys the two fighters yet again. Stalker seemed much more interesting than Model... and Model was just too vicious for her own sanity. And... she supposed that she'd better at least try to join a shriek before the darkness retook her again. A lone depressive person never lasts long, after all. Just look at poor Rain's Company over there...
Walking slowly up to Stalker, head held low-ish in respect, hopefully she wouldn't take this as an attack or something. Borealis clears her throat. "S'cuze for... interrupting. But I'd sort of like to be your beta... I know I'm no male, but... a shriek needs more than a matriarch, you know. Someone to guard while you're off conquering, you know..." She trails off, swaying slightly as her depression tried to overcome logic, but no, she fought it off, for now... Logic was a very useful tool to have around, sometimes. Hopefully Stalker would see that.

Prowl blinked, and replied telepathically, as her mouth was currently engaged in much more violent pursuits. ~Sure. Come on- claim a male before all the good ones are gone- just not that one- he's trouble.~ Stalker's Prowl was a little surprised at herself- she didn't normally take to females quite that quickly.

~How about that one, the red one? Or- speak of the devil and he shall come- there's another male coming from the south.~





Sure enough, Autumn's Gold was walking towards the water when he heard the commotion and decided to find out what was going on. If there was a scuffle for water, then he needed to be there to find out how he could keep access to the only water supply for quite some way away.

She sniffs the air launguidly for a few seconds, pinpointing the autumn male, then shuffles off in search of him. Finding him a few seconds later, she gives him a little nudge in the shoulder. Trying to flaunt her beauty (not that she was a very *friendly* person or anything, but a willing male is always better than a stolen one. They try to escape less that way ^.^) she says quite amiably, "Hello. I'm Borealis's Spectrum, from Stalker's Shriek. I was just wondering..." She tosses her head, letting her tassled ears fly behind her neck. "Whether or not you'd care to join us." If he said no, they could always force him... but it was better to at least allow him the chance to be a worshipping follower.

(0.o It replaced a word I said with "*friendly* person"... woah. ^.^ I guess that works too, I suppose. ^.6 Here are Autumn's choices: 1.Get *cough* with pretty girl, or 2. Get beat up, then get *cough* with pretty girl. ^.^ Wonder which one...?)

Snorting her irritation at the water that kept her from making a claim upon the lovely male with the collar... Gladiator peers about. That one... the new one. He had seen combat. He was finely colored. She'd have him then! Then new starred one would find the muscle-bound female suddenly far too near for comfort, snapping at her flank with a scree of "Mine!" This one she could walk up to and set her claim upon.... The other... she'd have to wait. She could squabble with the female once she'd made a good claim of her own.

Autumn's Gold wuffled at the female. Somehow, he knew it would be better to agree than to get beat up by the female. She had indicated that one of the two females currently embroiled in battle, and either one was one he didn't want to mess with.

"I am Autumn's Gold, and I would be honored to join your shriek."

That seemed like the right response- and Spectrum was pretty! Better to take an opportunity when it arose then to regret a path not taken in the future, and a shreik ment protection from others, and he wasn't one to fight much.

Diamond roared in pain, "Let go of me you little cat!" She scratched Prowl with her extremely sharp claws, managing to escape. Her ear was bloody.. but not extreme damage had been done to it. "You'll pay for that you wretched monster!" She jumped at Prowl, knocking and pinning her to the ground. Then she shouted at Flame, "You're mine!" Then she looked back at Prowl, "And while I'm at it.. I also claim to other male you wanted.." she motioned over to Fragile, "Bring it on!"

Fragile just smiled at the thought of being fought over. He sat down, watching to see what would happen next.


((By the way.. could you possibly use part of their name when referring to them.. instead of discriptions? B/c I get confused who people are talking about and my posts get messed up... Thanks guys! ;D))

OOC: Okay, we're going to have to start using names when describing who we're attacking/talking to. Because some of us (including meh) must be a little confused. Prowl attacked Diamond for Flame's Flicker, correct? And now, Diamond just started fighting back. That's all fairly clear. But who is Gladiator's Model attacking ~ Borealis or Diamond? And for whom? "finely colored new male" doesn't tell us much - remember that Diamond, Borealis, and Prowl are on the opposite side of the river than Model, and that Autumn was (until I led him back) out of sight from the battlefield... 0.o And you said she couldn't swim well... I'm confused.



Borealis looks at Autumn wonderingly for a moment, then turns to face the opposite direction, the direction towards the fighting. "C'mon then, Autumn. But try not to get your pretty self reclaimed, alright?" She trots back into the battlefield, sizing up the situation. Prowl was in combat with Danger... That's all she needed to know, for now, at least. Better try and help, at least. Horn crackling with electricity (she was surprised by it at first, as her depression rarely allowed her to harness this ability), she charged at Danger, ramming her in the back. If all went well, it would be enough to send her off balance, allowing Prowl to attack. Least she could do, being beta and all.
