Forest Meetings (Foxfliis)

Zaligan was still waiting for Ionanili's answer, but after a moment he want over to the other Foxflii's and introduced himself. "Hello. I am Zaligan, and this is my friend Kanai."

Kanai snorted and said, "I can introduce myself."

Zaligan backed off. "I'm sorry." He went over to Sunset and Ventya. "Sunset and Venty, if I recall?" He bowed to them.

Kanai glared at him. Show off. Big shot. Trying to make me jealous. Well, it's not gonna work. "Hiya," she said walking over to Hikaru. "I'm Kanai. And you must be Mr. Handsome." She had to admit, he was very cute.

(OOC: Sorry... couldn't help it anymore... mind if I toss a few of mine in to say hello?

Ryx'eni never was one for social gatherings outside of his own, but the two females at his side seemed unusually enthusiastic about this one, for some odd reason. Vixens... honestly... he couldn't understand them. It usually wasn't like Ser'essi or Naia'lae to want to investigate these things. Seri was too cold and withdrawn to care, and Naia was too quiet and often preoccupied to notice. But the two had poked and prodded the Alpha, pestering him constantly, until he finally broke down and agreed to accompany them.

He sighed, and reluctantly eyed the group of Foxfliis below. He knew he should be social, and introduce himself to some of the neighbouring clans, but he was so exhausted by the constant chatter of-

" 'Ryx! Look look! Over there!" exclaimed Naia happily, as she eagerly pointed out the gathering group of foxfliis. Ryx nodded half heartedly in response and flashed the ivory vixen a small smile. Shock registered briefly on his face as a flash of dark blue and purple jolted by him, filled with enthusiasm at meeting new vixens and vargs. Seri practically squealed with girlish delight, a sound that Ryx was so unaccustomed to hearing from the usually smoldering femme. Naia even paused, for a short moment, unsure of what to make of her vixen companion.

"What are you two waiting for??" she said with a huff of impatience. "Honestly, hurry it up! This little gathering won't last forever!"

She tapped a paw and swished her tail anxiously as she waited for Ryx and Naia to catch up...

A sparkling, ghost hued male stood on the edge of the clearing where the group had gathered. For a long time he did not move or speak, instead he simply stood and observed the others. Uncertainty was etched upon his every tensed muscle, as if he were quite certain that he should turn the other way and leave.

However, it was the brilliant green male with the four tails who held his attention. Another one like himself perhaps? It appeared that way.

Well, one could only learn so much by simply standing and observing. Quietly he pushed himself away from the wall of trees and made his way into the clearing. Despite his decided confidence, he still moved with a caution that betrayed his confidence and showed that he was not often in the company of others.

Absently he paused aside the reluctant-looking male adored in a lovely leafy coat. A smile just as absent as his movement touched his muzzle.

"Greetings."

He murmured, eyes still fixated on the quad-tailed Foxflii before momentarily flickering heavenward where the great Jahmut trod around the earth. Tonight would be an eclipse and he was quite curious to watch the proceedings even if all he had was a seat in an earthy stadium.

The two normally inseperable femmes were together as usual, Altacia was enjoying the chance to hunt, and happened upon some scents in the air. "I smell others nearby." She said sociably, watching Artemis catch leaves curiously, before continuing on as if the silent ess had given her approval.

Artemis frowned and raced ahead. "Hey, I see them." She called back, slowing her pace to catch a few more leaves, until her paw smacked into something that wasn't a leaf. Well, not a movable one anyway. She looked up and blinked a few times. She'd just kindly smacked an unsuspecting foxflii in the rump. "Sorry." She said, a blunt edge to her voice as if he were equally as much at fault for looking like a leaf.

"Smooth introduction, Temmy." The chocolate and purple one said, hiding a smirk as she approached. "Looks like a nice crowd." She said aloud, to no one in particular really. Padding softly closer, she smiled openly. "Hi, I'm Altacia. And that..." She said, pointing to the femme who hadn't yet moved. "Is Artemis."

Amandine swished her tails and pushed her face up close to Sunset's. "It's the eclipse, of course! When Rajhillu joins Jahmut and hides their meeting from all the earth! We'll have the ceremony and then we'll party!!"

Noctivaga took in all the foxflii from clans all the land over. So many had turned up to honor Rajhillu. She'd never expected so many, and certainly had not expected deities to be popping about like mortal foxflii, either. This would be a night unlike any other.

(((OOC: lol, I wonder what Nocti would do about a stalker. Sounds fun. Umm... good question to ask ya, axis: is this a lunar or a solar eclipse? Solar, right, if the moon is coming to join the sun? And also, I think you should make up a name for this event! )))

((Lol, yeah.. we can't just keep calling it "the eclipse ceremony"... *thinks about it* How about Niaken Ekae-wen. Ekae-wen for short. *its a WAAAAAY bad greek translation for "solar eclipse"...*))

I noticed that people are kinda slacking off in the rp... so I've decided to reveal a bit more about the "surprise" -I'm giving a special foxflii surprise to everyone who continues till the end. *has already done a few o them, including yours, Dawbs, and DSL's, and Indi's. Cuz I'm bored like that. BUT almost everyone should get one!*))

The earth trembles as, far, far above, a tiny sliver of the sun is eaten away. The eclipse does not start, however, until the last bit of Jahmut is covered. So, any latecomers are still welcome!

The two femmes both waited in awkward silence, Artemis determined to get the leady male to apologise for looking like a snatchable leaf, and Altacia determined to find a friendly Foxflii to socialize with. Neither were having much luck... and of course, in strutted someone who was looking for just the right situation to be the center of attention.



He raised an eye curiously, expression a perpetual pout. It always seemed to get the ladies to flock to him. And of course, there were plenty at this gathering. "Celebration did I hear?" He purred, giving eyes to any who would answer him or make eye contact.

((Y'know what would be funny? *pauseforeffect* If sexay here tried to hit on Noctivaga, and Fembrem gets all jealous and unleashes godly wrath, but ends up looking like an idiot b/c he fell for a mortal chick. 0.o Just pondering some ideas... I'm not sure... Also, Dragonwake here probably will end up using sexay to make her completely-oblivious love object jealous. ^.^ Love triangles are fun, hope you dun mind.))



Dragonwake enters the clearing, panting. Giving a hasty glance up to the sky, she relaxes- so she wasn't too late, after all. She was the representative for the Wideriver Magic clan... it would be a horrible omen for them to miss the Ekae-wen Ceremony. They lived so far away, she was afraid they wouldn't make it... But it seems all was now well. "Jhladen... I found the clearing!" She calls over her shoulder to her apprentice, Jhladen.


A handsome blue varg appears at her side, lightning designs covering his body. "Ah. That's good, Dragonwake..." He says absently, mind wandering. It is said that, sometimes, the Ekae-wen grants you your wildest dreams... Did that mean he would leave this ceremony, finally able to control his frightening powers? There was nothing he wanted more than to ensure that his new clan would be safe from his previous accidents with magic...

Dragonwake looks a little put-out, three tails drooping. She liked Jhladen, more than was appropriate for students to teachers... But no matter what she did, he was always preoccupied with something else! The shaman heaved a sigh, eyes wandering around to all the happy faces. What would make that dingbat of an apprentice wake up, already? Her eyes fixate upon a pouting, periwinkle varg, then she shoots Jhladen a subversive look. Maybe.. it was just dumb enough to work... "Do what you like, Jhladen. But meet me back here after the ceremony ends." She says pompously, then starts to weave her way towards the other varg.

((Oooh I love the idea! I don't mind in the least! Muahaha... He gets to play with two lovely ladies! And he'll probably get tangled up in one. The eventual downfall of every ladies man *sighs dramatically* heheh.))

Of course, having a keen eye for beauty meant that he didn't miss the entrance of Dragonwake, although he pretended to be oblivious, stealing glances now and then. Much to his extreme enjoyment, it seemed she was approaching him! Oh how perfect. Turning his gaze away, he allowed her to come closer before turning his eyes to her and giving a look of evidently surprised pleasure. "My, my...." He murmured as she came in closer, his gaze expectant and anticipational.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of such... stunning company?" He asked, putting emphasis on the 'stunning', of course. His wings fluttered softly, reflecting in the light and giving the illusion of a dusky night sky in reverse. Luxurious tail flicked innocently at one of the lovely maiden's paws, and his eyes didn't betray the fact that the move had been intentional. He noticed she'd arrived with another varg, but, he had to admit, he was not much competition compared to the handsome Arithos.

She sits herself down next to him, flanks just brushing his. The tail flick did not go unnoticed, though she pretends to be oblivious to his attentions. "Oh, I'm not sure exactly..." Her middle tail twitches as she trails off, moving to gently wrap around him, golden bow twinkling in his wings' reflections. Eyes half closed, she gives him a distant, sidelong glance. "...I suppose I just couldn't help it..." She flutters her eyelashes once or twice, then looks away, pretending indifference.

The ess was just as flirty as Arithos, and truthfully he loved the little game. The tricks she used were many of his own, and he found himself chuckling. His tail forms a twist with hers gently before moving back to tickling her paws, as if the appendage had a mind of its own. "Well, seems my charms have earned me a very lovely catch. Might you grace me with your name, my dear?" Voice is teasing, light, and curious all at once. She knew how to play with that pretty face, and it was proven by the coy fluttering of her eyelashes at him, though she made it seem so casual. He stretched and pressed his flank more into hers, face neutral, as if the closeness was simply a result of the stretch and nothing more.

She shifts back to look at him, face close to his, a slight smile twitching at the corners of her muzzle. In a sensual little purr, she answers, "My name is Dragonwake..." Then, with a tiny, bored sigh (her face was close enough for the sigh to brush his lovely visage) she asks, "And who might you be...?" The vixen gives a little toss of her head, causing her shoulder to brush with his more closely. He was exceedingly handsome, and she actually found herself attracted to him... though not nearly as much as she let on....

Her eyes dart quickly to Jhladen, too fast for either varg to notice... no, he wasn't watching them. Darn him! Well, then... she'd just have to try harder. She'd show him! ...She arches her neck ever so slightly, puffing out her chest fur. No male she knew could resist that move...

"Dragonwake, so exotic and alluring... so perfect." His muzzle turns into hers, the barest brush of fur, and his smile seems to be an exact duplicate of hers. "I am known as Arithos." He announces, as if the name were supposed to have some deeper meaning that only she could understand and appreciate.

Surprisingly enough, the varg did notice the ghost of a movement, but that's because he always had to know he had a lady's attention. In fact, he nipped her neck playfully and grinned. "Something wrong, my jewel?" Her coat was as glossy as the most precious of stones, and so he had stolen a little... pet name from that. The beauty of her fur led him to notice her action, and though he knew she was looking for the attention, he glady showed his interest with a 'hmmmm' of approval, admiring her form.
