((okay! this is for tomorrow ;D)) she slowly listend to his plea but said sharply "I just might poke somones eye out if they just 'pop' up like that, and their a thief!" she lowerd her sword but said "I could tell....that you think all roalty snooty, yes most of them all are, but my famliy is a peacful one...... but, my father wants me to come prepard for----Thiefs!" she spat out the word sharply, and pointed her sword tward his throat.

Now it was Joth's turn to get mad. "Peaceful eh?" He let out a snort, who was this girl fooling? All the good royal folk had either been put into an early retirement, or just plain beaten into submission, or just been artfully assassinated. So that their more corrupted counterparts could take over the bandwagon.

"If their so peaceful then how come I've seen some of my fellow petty thieves hang high and dead on poles? Kind of a odd sort of decoration don't you...THINK FAST!"

Without warning Joth whipped out his own sword, (a rather rusty and beat up sword) an struck it against her own blade.
"Now I may be a thief, beggar, bandit what-not but I am a gentleman of fortune...or misfortune, and I ever so not like the idea of hurting maidens. So your royal prissiness I suggest that you put that kitchen knife away, turn around and frolic -slowly mind you- back to you pretty little castle."

He smirked, things were looking in his favor now or at least that what the Mouse thought.

she flung her blade, it then stuck to a tree, with joth having a cut shoulder and being trapped because the sword had also stuck in his cloths so he was now suck in a tree " looks like i caut my self a theif!" kaylin smirked

"and also you coward, the kingdom is falling apart! i came here to meet with the last group of creatures and people that actuly have a pure heart....i am the leader of that group mind you.....and my-my father w-Was killed by a thief so not much liked of them..." as much as she hated, she retreived her blade. "my castle was burned down a long time ago kill me if you must" she hung her head sadly.

The blood from his wound oozed onto his white tunic, the young thief gritted his teeth and grasped his shoulder trying to stop the bleeding.

"My f-father?" He panted as he slowly sat down the ground. "What are you talking about? I never knew my father!"

He buried his face into one free hand. What had he gotten himself into? This princess was a raving lunatic! A batt-er then batty maiden who already shown him the bad side of the blade.

"Then go..." Joth hissed having enough of this girl and her ravings. "Go to your people, your rebels. I got no intentions of killing you..."
He winced gripping his shoulder harder despite the pain. Criggets, this cut better not be deep...I can afford being lame.

i am no lunatic.. a voice played in his head. the princess' hair flew back reveling pointed ears, showing that she was an Elf. her dress turned pure white, a sparkling tiara crowned her head, then she spoke "I am the Elven princess.." a small glittering tear streaked down her face. '' I am sorry to cause greif....its just.... i've lost s-so much.....I am sorry" she placed her hand on his shoulder healing his wound. with tat she left.

but before she left she said "I have no people left....that is why I'm in so much greif."

Wide eyed and pale faced, the thief felt as if he had just seen a ghost. He sat there staring at the empty space where the elf had stood a few seconds ago. Strange as it was Joth found mind scrambling for something to say, something to at least make some amends for his actions.

"Uh...S-s-sorry?"
His voice sounded horse and barely audible. What a stupid thing to say! He thought to himself as his hand passed slowly over the now healed wound. "How did she do that?" He muttered and getting to his feet he went over and picked up his sword. "Come on Joth, that elf long gone by now and I think it's time for you to be long gone."

Even if the elven princess didn't intend on harming him, her little band of rebels (who ever they are) just might have the same idea. Once she'd told them about him odds are they might send a few of their men on a Mousehunt.

Wiping the sweat off his brow the young thief darted back to his small hideout where he began to pack his few belongings in a sack.

joth began to pack but soon he heard a voice. it was female but it did not sound like kaylin's. "h-help!! any one? HELP ME! please!"

he was starteld, at first thinking it was a trick but he found that a girl about joth's age was schreeching her lungs out for help, as a large beast attaked her."HELP!"

Faster then a blink of an eye, Joth's sword was in his hand and before he even relised what he was doing the thief was hacking wildly at the creature.

And screaming like woman.

the thing slinked of. but the maiden was seriosly wounded. wheres kaylin when you need her? trying to wake her up he splashed her with some water. "ummm..my..stumoch...." great help. there was a life thretning wound peirced her side. "is she okay?" GREAT! kaylin was here! she neeled by her side placing her hand on her side. "she will need a little rest. did you get hurt? or are there any more wounds?"
