Garnet looked around her groggily. "Hmm. We came yesterday from that direction, so I guess we go that way." She pointed to her right, since she was facing the cave. She yawned again, and blinked her eyes slowly, then got up and began walking towards the direction she chose. Before she knew it, she had collapsed on the ground snoring.

Making very little nosie as possible Anocher gently picked her up and carried her over his one shoulder.

Briin'ken couldn't help but chuckle a little, seeing Garnet draped over Anocher's shoulder. But soon she had to look away; the sight of someone else sleeping soundly was giving her an overwhelming desire to sleep herself.
She shook her head in an attempt to clear it and trudged after Anocher. The wolf paused and turned around to make sure Charon and the others were coming.

Adrian cleared his throat and snickered slightly as well, then turned to Briin'ken and opened a hand for her. "Here, friend, you seem a bit tired yourself. I could carry you if you want, so you could sleep for a bit," he offered kindly.
Garnet snuggled into Anocher slightly, trying to make herself comfortable as she dreamt of sugar-plum fairies and candycanes and cookies. She smiled as she saw all this, in spite of herself. But it only made her snore even more, and drool slightly.

Briin'ken looked incredulously at Adrian as she walked.
"You would carry me?" she asked, "That's really nice of you, but I'm sure I'll be fine.."
She smiled and faced forwards again, only to run headlong into a tree. She sat down abruptly and frowned, trying to hide her embarrassment.
"Well.. maybe I could mooch a ride for a little while. That is, if you wouldn't mind it too much," she said, a little reluctant to be carried.
((mooch is such a funny word..))

Anocher chuckle softly. Surprisenly she could sleep on chainmail but after what Garnet's been through she sleep on a bed of nails.

"Of course," Adrian said, trying to hide a snicker. He picked her up gently and cradled her in one arm as he walked. "If you're not comfortable, you can let me know and I'll let you down."
Garnet cleared her throat slightly, still asleep. "Yes... I wanna play monopoly... I know all the answers..." There was a pause. "Zelda stole all my money... I swore I had the Boardwalk..." She was a rock-hard sleeper, but rarely ever talked in her sleep. This was revolutionary.

Briin'ken shifted a bit and closed her eyes, but her mind wouldn't slow down. She thought of her past, her family, of many different things. The wolf sighed and her eyes opened again.
"Um, Adrian? Would you mind if I sang a little song? I'll sing quietly of course, it just helps me to relax.."

Adrian smiled softly, mainly to himself. The thought of singing songs brought him back to his egg-days. He could remember his father singing softly to him, when he was just an unhatched egg, of distant lands and battles and even love. "No, of course I wouldn't mind," he said quietly, as if speaking to himself. His thoughts trailed to his father.

Charon was glad that he was finally in the company of other dragons. He laughed he had read of this "monopoly" in his Tome of the Hourglass. He looked at Jason's dragon tooth, then memories flowed back to him. (( Hey! I have an Idea for a new part. The maze of the wise men. We must make it through a maze, then answer the questions of men that are blocking the paths!!!!!  )) |
