((well I can never remember mine... *ish too lazy to memorize* geez we're just a bunch of lazy people, huh? ;D))
Garnet nodded. "I do too," she said, "But what can we do? All we can do is wait..." Her voice trailed off as she gazed into the fire, inching ever-closer to it to keep warm. "Say, does the Book have anything about the cave in it?"
On top of the fallen block, which had been just taller than Briin in height, were two small buttons just big enough to be stood upon. Engraved into the rock of the fallen block read another sign:
"Third Test: Wit"

Briin'ken stodd, shaking the dust from her fur and reared up on her hind legs, her front paws braced on the block, to get a better look at the buttons.
"Wit? Well, one of those buttons must be the correct one. The other might lead to another trap.." she thought aloud. She wondered which of the buttons was the right one.
"When I have been stuck in situations like this, Anocher, I always said: 'The right one is the right one.' of course it didn't always work for me.." Briin'ken mumbled the last bit, and asked her companion, "Any ideas?"

((^_^;; Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, but when the buttons are pressed, the block takes them up again. One has to step on one button, and the other on the other button. Sorry for being so confusing! *scolds self* I'll go with it, though.))
Nothing happened as Anocher pressed the first button, except a little whirring sound could be heard from beneath the block, as if it was charging up.

(( oh sorry )) Briin'ken leapt up onto the stone and pressed her paw against the left button. Still nothing happened. "Hmm.. why don't we press them both at the same time?" She firmly pressed the left button once more and waited for Anocher.

"I don't know....." he flipped through the book. "Wait!!!! Here is something, The Cave of the Test. It reads here that this cave tests it's trespassers to see if they can get to the great treasure in the end." he said. "So they're being tested!!!! ((How's that for an answer!!!!))

((Charon: Whoo!! You read my mind!! ;D Briin: no, no! It's my fault entirly. I'm the confusing one. I'msorry. ) Garnet's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "Tested? Tested?! There could be deathly traps in there! What if they get hurt? Or worse... killed?!" Her voice dropped to a whisper. "And we'd never know. Days, months, years would pass by and we'd be out here waiting... waiting for their return that would never come!" She rolled onto her back and put the back of her paw onto her forehead in distress. She was being a bit of a drama queen. "If only they knew... if only we knew what tests they'd go through so we could tell them. Ugh."

"They have to be safe, they have Jason's dragon tooth with them!"
But Charon knew that the magical tooth wouldn't protect the two from everything. He just wanted to comfort Garnet.
"I just hope we're safe.. we're out here by ourselves out in the open. Practically defenseless..."

Garnet sat her self back upright. "I suppose you're right..." she cast a look around at the dark forest, a chill going up her spine as a small breeze swept by. "Well, if anything comes, I'm sure we can fend them off with your fire and our claws!" She put her long cat-claws out with a smile and her teeth glimmered in the fire-light. "Don't worry, Char, I'll protect you," she said sarcastically. "I'm big, strong, and muscular! Not such an easy match for large dragons and such." She winked at him.

The rock made a louder whirring noise, and all of a sudden it began to rise higher and higher, like an elevator. Soon, they were at the top. Before them lay three levers, and in order from left to right: one had a flame symbol on it, one had a feather on it, and the last one had a water droplet on it. They were equally spaced apart, and you could see that when you pulled one, a section of the wall would turn around and take you with it to the other side... whatever was on the other side. Again, on the ground, there was a sign engraved:
My tidings, we! My tidings, be! My tidings, you must hear. Which lever is the one to pick, which one shall you pull dear? A riddle's here to help you choose, out of three, one's right. Which element cannot withstand the howling winds of the night?
Ah, you've guessed one perhaps, but don't pull, that! It's true. For I'm not done riddling you. A treasure lies beyond this wall, and here's a hint again: This element is all around you, even when you're dead.
((Solve the riddle! It's pretty easy... lol and in case you didn't know, feather is the element of air. ^_^;; I read something about it and I was like "WHOA! It is?" so if anyone's like me, there you go. ^-^))

Looking at the three levers Anocher turned to Briin'ken. "Treasure, heeh." He laughed qeitly. First they were looking for Zelda now they're treasure hunting? "Interesting." He said. "What you think Briin'ken?"

"I say we choose air! After all, it's around us even if we're dead.. and I like flying!"
Briin'ken grinned at her friend and waited for his reply.
