"You're waiting for something to happen? Hmm, that's odd," Celeste said. She ventured further. "Waiting for what to happen, I might ask? If you would be so inclined to answer..." She sensed a questioning kind of feeling coming from Moonsong, but she'd explain everything later. Right now, the Lesser Fairy's situation seemed more intriguing to her.

Moonsong head turn from left to right as if looking for any easedropers and turned her attention back to Celeste. In a low voice she said. "My friend, cousin's sister's brother hread that there is a creature been sighted in this land." "A creature so terrifying that said that strong warrior fall to their knees in fear just by the mere sight of it."
Moonsong paused for a moment. "I am told it only comes out at night."

Celeste went pale. "Then what are we doing out here? We have to find some place to take shelter before it finds us!" she exclaimed, looking around wildly. Her body tensed and she looked like she was going to bolt at any second. One horrible accident was enough, but now this? "Have you a place you sleep in? Might I join you for the night?" she asked hurridly, still glancing around as though some evil being would pop out at them at any moment.

"Ahh this tree?" Moonsong replied sheepishly. "It was just a rumor or so I'm told. For all I know this "monster" could be from someone overactive imagonation. That's why I'm here..to prove if it exists or not."
The fairy smiled."Don't worry, if does exists and attacks you, it'll have to deal with Moonsong!"
She said proudly not even condistering the fact that she was almost six or seven inches tall and the beast was what?
Lesser fairies will sometimes take on enemies even if they are smaller then there foe. So to Moonsong size matters not to her.

Celeste grinned. "Hah, well if it attacks, it'll have to taste the wrath of my horn, too!" She feinted an attack at Moonsong just for play. She laughed sheepishly. "Even though I might not be the best warrioress... And as for shelter, I guess I could... just sleep on the ground..." She knew she'd feel incredibly vulnerable, just like last time, but there was nothing else she could do. She'd have to sleep lightly tonight.

“Maybe I can do something about shelter...” Moonsong pondered then a sudden idea came to her. Of course! Why didn’t I think of that before! Moonsong flew into the tree snapping off the tree small twigs. Then She flew down to the ground and planted each the twig in the ground in a semi oval pattern. She stood back and waited. Then an amazing thing happened. The planted twigs began to grow up from the ground. The branches weave together and leaves began to grow from the branches covering up the many gabs. When the plant stop growing it look to be a like structure of a tent. Large enough for the Unicorn to enter inside.
"Good havens, I made the World's largest fairy house!" Moonsong exclamed quite proud of what she had done.

Celeste gazed at the structure in pure awe. "Wow, I've never seen anything so beautiful before!" she exclaimed, turning around and backing into the structure slowly. It was quite comfortable. Just let her body heat do it's thing and the place would be warm in no time. "Wow, thank you, Moonsong!" She grinned. "I love it! But... where will you sleep?"

"Under the stars..." Was the fairy's reply and flew up on the highest branch of the lone tree. Besides I need to keep and eye out for that creature She thought.

Celeste lay down slowly on the ground in her hut. It was getting warm already. "Ahh, I like doing that sometimes," she said. "I can pick out a few constellations myself. It must be nice being a fairy, though, right? Flying and having magic... I'm just an empath. And I don't want to be." She shook her head and sighed, staring out in front of her as she rested her head on the ground.

Gazing at the stars Moonsong pondered weather or not this so-call "monster really existed. If it was out there she would seen some sort of sign that it was real. After all the her other friends could be right and her search was all in vain. Well not all in vain, she found a new friend and created the world's biggest fairy house. (Moonsong didn't really think she could of done it). At least something good come out of her journey.
She sighed and laid back. I'm beginning to feel a lot less then a Lesser! She thought happily. This has been one lucky evening for me!
~~~~~~ The Lesser shouldn't of judged so quickly on the creature not existing. As fate would have it something stired in the forest. All beasts of the night, even the insects stood still waiting. All eyes and ears looking and listening in fear. Something large and something dark lurked and it was on the hunt. The forest suddenly went silent. It was happening again....
Celeste rolled over onto her side. She was tired; her running along the plains had made her exhausted, though she didn't so much show it. She yawned and shut her eyes for a moment when suddenly it hit her. All at once, she felt happiness and content from Moonsong, and yet a strange sense of fear coming from the forest nearby. It was an overload. A headache came, followed shortly by a moan coming out of her own mouth. She curled herself up in a ball; she hadn't learned how to control her empath powers yet. And right now, everything happened at once, making her nautious. She shut her eyes tightly and prayed to Alma ((her goddess)) that the headache would go away. As for why the creatures of the forest were afraid, she wasn't so concerned. Not yet, at least.
A low growl could be heard in the shadows. The creature sniffed the air it smelled something... The beast hissed identifying the smell a unicorn! And it was not very far off. It growled again and stepped from the and creped towards the edged of the forest where the plains began. Dark red eyes surveyed the landscape. The unicorn was out there but where? Save for a few scattered trees and a large bush of some sort there was no sign of the unicorn. The beast hissed in frustration this was going to be tricky. Out in the open his big form would be easy to spot unless he was very carful, but then he loved a challenge. Made it a greater satisfaction of when the prey was finely caught.
Very stealthy the creature crept out from the forest and began the hunt.
Fun fun fun... Let the blood run run run.....
The beast thought.
Celeste quickly rolled from her side onto her stomach. Her muscles tensed. Her head hurt. And she smelled something. It was so oddly familiar... but yet again, she could not put her hoof on it. She glanced up at Moonsong. Should she alert her friend?
No, that's silly... I'm probably just hallucinating... and then she'll thing I'm stupid... ow! the unicorn thought, cringing again from all the emotions she received.
Celeste turned back to the plains. She could barely see over the tall grasses; she craned her neck to scan the plains. Nothing. It was too dark, and the moonlight offered no help. Just an oddly familiar smell...
Moonsong’s eyes open for a moment. Oh great I fell asleep. She thought. Getting up the fairy looked around the area from her perch. Being on the highest branch she had a very good view.
No there was nothing to see, save for the grass, a few trees and large moving rock.Nothing out of the ordinary Moonsong concluded and when back to sleeping. Dreaming of black rock with glowing red eyes and shape wicked teeth and...
Wait a second!
Moonsong woke up in a flash. Looking around again carfuly she spotted what had to be the creature. My brother sister's er friend ahh cousin whatever was right. She happily thought. There really is such a creature!
In her moment of joy suddenly came to realization that her new found friend might be in peril.
“Uh-oh....” she muttered.
Celeste sighed and shook her mane. Nothing still. The scent was getting to her, though. If only she could remember what it was. Ever since that darn accident... But what had happened? She had no clue. She just woke up one morning and... all of it was gone. Her past had been erased from memory, and she had to begin anew. She had been horribly hurt, and woke up to extreme pains and pools of her own blood, but after nursing herself back to health, she had decided not to stay where she was. But now she was back, or at least relatively near to where it had happened. She wondered if her bloodstains were still there. It might have been nice to see them.
Celeste lowered her neck. She must be hallucinating. She couldn't see anything, and she always relied more on her sight than her sense of smell for some reason. Resting her head on her arms again, Celeste yawned and blinked a few times, then closed her eyes and began to doze off. Just a light sleep... she thought, Just in case...
