Hmm, I think I understand now. So there are three ways to pay for something
1 - put money into the Paypal account 2 - use a credit card 3 - use the bank account directly (agreed, I'd be kinda wary of that one too)
I guess the size of payment they said I was allowed to make was actually a limit since I'm not verified, rather than money I can already use.
Hmm, was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to link up my bank account...hopefully I'll deal with people who accept credit cards *g*

Ok, decided to take the plunge and get myself an account. Sending money orders was way to much of a hassle. Now I'm just a little confused about how to make payments through paypal (I don't expect to ever receive any *g*), especially since I haven't seen what the payment form looks like. I see I have a limit of a certain amount of money. Fine, I assume that even without having entered a credit card or bank account I can use the money up to that limit. But obviously, Paypal will want it back *g* So is this how it is supposed to work? You use your credit limit to buy whatever it is you wanted, and then later pay off your Paypal balance with your credit card? I didn't see any mention of interest fees, are there any? And we can enter the credit card immediately as the payment option too, and then have no Paypal balance? Yeah, I'm a total n00b. I may be a computer engineer but I'm wary of all this technical stuff, maybe because I know of all the ways things can go wrong, who stuff can get hacked, how identities are stolen. At least I figured out that if I do any business with the States, I'll have to pay an extra 2.5% to convert the currency...but then that's nothing new. Lots of stuff are more expensive like that here. Take books - the Canadian dollar has gone up 20 cents in comparison to the US dollar, but we're still paying that extra difference. Thanks for any insight. The Paypal site didn't explain it very well (plus my brain was full of privacy policies and user agreements, heh)

Yup, I just get back from a trip to Washington D.C. and I post up a message about my trip to Austria I took last September ^_^ That's because I finally finished a kind of trip diary, figured if anyone was trying to decide where they'd like to go on a trip someday, I could convince them Austria and Bavarian Germany was the place to go :-D It was absolutely amazing and I wish I could have stayed there longer. www.myth-and-fantasy.com/misc/austria

Durn, guess I'll have to pass on the movie then since I absolutely adore the anime and don't want to spoil it. Things are just starting to get really interesting. Thanks for the warning!

Every year a movie festival is hosted here that often has a selection of animes to choose from. This year, there is only one, but a good one, a Full Metal Alchemist movie.
Problem is, I've only just started watching the series! I was wondering if the movie, which takes place after the series ends, gives away too many spoilers and I should wait to see it. I didn't write down the movie's name, but it seems to be about some alternate timeline/time travel kind of thing during one of the World Wars.
How many episodes are there in the series btw?

Hmm, what about unicorn TV shows/movies?
Like Kleo the Misfit Unicorn, or My Little Ponies ^_^

There's also one called The Little Unicorn. And of course, the never materializing live action version of the Last Unicorn.
I hadn't heard about Ella Enchanted...will have to add that to my library.

I loved that movie, still do. Most modern kids movies are all about fart jokes and stupid things like that, nothing comes anywhere near the elegance of The Last Unicorn. I think we underestimate how serious little kids can be.
And I'd like to see the live action one too someday, oneday, whenever they actually make it. Though I suppose the longer we wait, the better the special effects. Another thing I'd like to see is a Pern movie or TV show. I keep hearing about them, but nothing seems to materialize.

Hmm, stores don't have "scripts" to prevent people from taking things without asking. That's why shoplifting is a problem. And I do have a script on my pages to prevent people from taking things, but since I didn't have Firefox until recently, I didn't know it didn't work on anything other than IE. (I will work to resolve that as I now have one that does work, but it will take time to put it on all pages!) On the other hand, if she was using IE, then she maliciously worked around the block.
Someone should point out to the father that nothing on the web is free unless specified as such. Not the text, not the images, nothing, nada. After all, if she'd drawn her own images, would she know how to go about protecting them? Does he think that we're all web gurus that know how to do all kinds of fancy tricks to protect our art? We're are (or at least were when we started, *g*) all just a bunch of kids too. We give out our art for free to specific people, but at the same time cannot affort to copyright them through the legal process.
I hope nobody came down too hard on the girl, I didn't think she'd done it on purpose. After all, it did seem she had some idea it might be wrong, as she said she'd take it down if there was any complaints. Too bad she didn't ask first, instead of asking after.
*goes off to update her pages with the new scripts*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before I did that, I checked her pages. She took everything down. So I offered again to draw her some pictures if she didn't/couldn't make her own.
Also Dee Dreslough has made all her images completely free of any terms of use. You can even sell them if you wanted to (she's an amazing person!) So I pointed her to that since there's lots to choose from.
Yup, I already notified Foxx by email since she doesn't frequent here. I also knew AZ created those on the first page, but she hasn't been around for ages. There's also a Cylirah from Elae, someone else I haven't heard from in years. Most of the others were click-and-takes of some sorts, so figured they weren't worth reporting unless she started causing problems.
Haven't had a reply yet, but I'll give her some more time.
