OOC| I'm bored again, so I thought I'd give this another stab or two.
BIC| Sukosh lifted her head with a whsper of scraping plates. She'd been in this land for quite a few days and had so far met no one. She'd caught a sent in the air though, something that reminded her oddly of the smell of deer and wolf. Then with a sigh she realized that it was deer and wolf. A pack had found its prey.
A small billow of smoke rolled out of her nostrils with the sigh and she shifted slightly with dejection. Leaning heavily on her unsupported side she pulled her long, dagger crested tail against her and covered it with one of her wings before layin her head over as well. She resembled a small sized hill like this, something that helped her to blend in. Sharp emerald eyes closed with a blink, stark against her purly white shields, and the rognack dozed quietly as she waited for some life to come along.

Amongst the many carrion birds that hovered in the air, in hopes of getting some deer pickings, one bird stood out from the rest. A raven with deep purple wings and tail circled the aria higher then the others. Keen yellow eyes searching for something other then a meal.
The raven let out a crak as she spotting on the ground that just didn't seem right. With a quick adjustment of her wings the raven swoop down for a closer look.

OOC| Hi, thanks for jumping in! BIC| Sukosh lifted her head in a slow, sleepy manner as the soft beat of wings grew louder. She lifted her head enough to show her spiked nose and the crest of horns that circled around her head to her jaw. "What an odd little fowl," she commented as the creature took interest in her. Her voice, quite unlike the harsh rasping of her body plates, was very soft and flickered like fire. Snorting the smell of death out of her nose she tilted her head to where the bay of wolves announced their victory. The pack would eat well tonight. Sighing, smoke billowing softly from her four toothed mouth, she turned her sharp emerald eyes once more to the raven before setting her head back on her wing. This time, however, the emerald cast a stark contrast to the soft white of her plates, almost like a snow covered hill with small tufts of spring grass on it. Sukosh figured she might as well be comfortable while she waited.

"Well you are a curious little creature," Sukosh murmured as her blazing emerald eyes followed the little raven. "Different, I think, from the ones at home. You have something different in your eyes."
Yawning, she shifted her weight and pressed the spiked tips of her dexterous wings against the ground to leverage herself back up. With a little hiccup she gathered her only pair of legs under her, the back pair, and folded her wings back against her sides as she straightened up. She had to smile though when she saw the long, dead streak of scorched grass her sneeze had brought on. It revealed her four dagger like teeth, and when she stood the sharp trail of similar knives that flowed down her spine could be seen as well.
Her body plates rasping like bone dragged over stone, Sukosh lifter her head to the raven and gave it a close study. When she was standing the little fowl wasn't that far above her head; she honestly thought she might have been able to stretch out her thick, trunk-like neck and sniff at it.
"Well just what are you so exited about?" she quired with no real hope for an answer. "Lord knows you're a welcome relief from my nap though. You know, you'd think a big, white, plated dragon would be hard to miss? Ha! So I had hoped."
Chuckling to herself she shook her head a little bit and added in an undertone, "Ah, Sukosh, talking to the little birds." the truth was, she loved the sound of her voice. Soft and flickering like the flames she so loved to create and manipulate, it was perfect for singing or just lulling a frightened critter into security. There were times when she wondered if she spoke aloud not out of boredom or curiosity, but instead out of vanity. It was quite possible; the large, harshly rasping plates that covered her instead of scales, the wings that grew from her shoulders instead of legs, the sleek, triangle shaped head could not be considered attractive. Fierce, powerful, even ugly in some way, but certainly not attractive. Her voice was her best feature, something that that usually got creatures to come to her and trust her instead of scaring them off.

"Churrraak..." Was the bird's reply.
Very much different indead! The raven mused to herself (she would of smiled if she could) as she swoop down landing on a high tree branch. She decided to stay just for a little while. There was no apperent danger and her master could wait on her return. Besides he too was napping when she left him and there was no great need to disurp him just yet.

Now she was simply curious about this bold little bird. It had been amusing before, but now she was forced to think about this fowl's fixation on her.
"Do you know, if you wanted to study something I could give you plenty to look at," she mused with a little tilt of her head. "I wonder if fire scares you? I have a talented tongue, my brothers are always jealous about the shapes I can make."
Then, as if to prove it, she let out a very small flame that wavered momentarily before melting into the form of, what else, a raven. It seemed to be in mid-flight, seeing as how the wings moved steadily, and when it turned its head small, life-like feathers ruffled on its neck. It was, indeed, very realistic.
The image was spoiled though as a squirrel scampered up her leg, having mistaken her for some large stone, and causing her to giggle so that her little flame stuttered out. "Well now," Sukosh scolded in an extremely playful tone as she swung her head around to blink slowly at the small mammal, "see what you've done? You went and spoiled my little illusion for my new raven friend. But I suppose you were scared of having your home burned down?"
She gave a little rumbling chuckle here, causing the previously frozen squirrel to dash back down her leg and into a nearby tree. "Come, come," she said rather reproachfully, "You can't think I'm all that bad? You know," she added as she turned those fiery emerald eyes back to the branch dwelling bird, "this little creature's starting to remind me of my brother, Glork. All he does is criticize as well, though it just makes me better. It's funny, really, since he's frustrated that he's finding less and less wrong with my sculpting."
Winking, she turned her head back to the sky for a moment and watched as the birds circled lower and then fell below the tree line. The pack had apparently had it's fill and had taken what it could carry back to the den for the pups. The excitement was dying down, but the boldly curious raven had by now caught her interest so it was nothing she was particularly sorry for. If nothing else it was odd for a naturally wild animal to accept the rasping of her plates and wings (which were nothing more than giant sized plates themselves--good thing they were all hollow) with so little upset. This, indeed, was a creature worth noting.

The raven blink her yellow eyes and tilted her head. Now that was impressive, though she knew that most dragons did posses some sort of magic, but this was the first time she had even seen a dragon do something like this.
And probably would of told her so but words of speech were meant to be spoken only to her master. Not that she was being rude or anything, but the raven was a believer in silence and to be a good listener as well. Of course there were a few times when she did actually speak to someone other then her master.
Still it would wrong not to show her apperception. Unable to applaud the raven gave the dragon a gentle "Kuuaaa...chuurrr.".
The raven shifted and ruffled up her feathers, suddenly sensing that her master was awaking and soon be calling for her.

"Ah, a fan," Sukosh mused playfully. "Well, if nothing else it didn't frighten you. Though you do seem to be in a bit of an upset over something. I wonder what that could be?"
Shifting, she moved her wieght fully on her legs, lifting the tail that had acted as a stopper before into the air for balance. If the bold little bird was upset over something she had best be ready for it.

No, not me but the master will be upset if I do not return, thought the bird. For such a acclaimed warrior he worries too much.
Bowing her head in a quiet goodbye and letting out a Kraaaww!the raven took off heading southeast.
Goodbye dragon...for now at least. She thought, the sun shining off of her black and purple feathers. I have a feeling that we will meet again. Only this time I will be with my Master, Tailenar.

Sukosh sent the little raven off with a small rumbling growl, somewhat saddened at her departure. With a smoky sigh she settled back down and waited patiently for someone else to come along. She really did need to make more friends.

By using her powers (small as they may be) it did not take the raven long to find her master. She clucked, she could now hear him below shouting her name.
"Nayena!" His gruff growlly voice boomed. "Nayena! Where have you gone now?"
Emerging from the trees and out into the clearing was a anthromorphic linger. He was dressed in a light brown tunic, dark brown pants and wrapped in a grey cloak. All simple and nondescript, for his clothing that is. For strapped to his belt was a long cured blade sword and two fancy jeweled daggers. They were well made weapons and well used in a battle.
The linger's jaded eyes glanced about skyward and let out a growl spotting his feathery companion.
"No need to shout, Tailenar...I am here."The raven, Nayena answered landing on his outstretched arm. "Why! Tailenar were you worried for me?" She cooed softly.
"You were gone for hours. And I did not want you to travel far off!" Was the growlish answer that came from the linger and Nayena hoped onto his shoulder and whispered into his furry ear. "While I was spying over the lands I came across a most peculiar creature...a dragon in fact." Tailenar responded by putting his paw on the hilt of his sword and Nayena pecked his ear. "None of that!" She scolded him like a mother scolding a naughty child. "This dragon is not evil and besides I wish you to meet her."

Well now, more movement in the brush. This was, indeed, turning into a most eventful day. Lifting her head so that she might look all around her, Sukosh wondered just what her brother Glork would say about things. No doubt he'd caution her to be on alert for enemies, or critsize her for leaving home in the first place. But to Sukosh being the youngest simply meant having to be the bravest as well. Just because you were small was no reason to let others look down at you.
"What would my little raven friend have to say about this noise, I wonder?" she pondered aloud as her tail was swept once more against her side. "I'm pretty sure the little one would have something to say. If she could, that is."
The squirrel reappeared during her musing, her voice having had its natural effect, and with a begnin smile she let it scamper up behind the crest of spikes that circled around her head. "Careful now," she cautioned it in a soft, sweet, warmly flickering voice. "One of those are as big as you yourself are. Now then, let us see what there is to see."

Tailenar let out a low murr and looked at Nayena curiously. "Why?" He asked.
"For I wish it." She said fluffing up her feathers and said no more. Tailenar growled again but sighed knowing he would not get an answer.
You need to socialize with other creatures. Nayena thought privately as she took off leading the linger back to the dragon. Tailenar came from a realm that was mostly cut off from the world and his the people Tylshad Pride, had forbidden outsiders. Along with the fact that they were warlike and having problems with another Pride also made them trust noone but their own kind.
But with Nayena's gentle coaxing and encouragement, she had convinced the linger youth to journey forth into lands beyond his Pride and to put away his kind's mistrust of other beings. For Nayena saw some hope in the linger and prayed that when he returned from his journey Tailenar might help change his people's strong prejudice attitude.

The warm breeze floated through the trees, bringing in scents of mountain heather and daisies. High up in the branches of a lofty quaking aspen a creature lay sprawled on one of its branches, swaying back and forth in the gentle breeze. The wind prickled at the creatures' reddish brown and silver marked fur, ruffling past the creature's off-white wings. For a moment, the creature moved, and then one amber eye opened and her salmon tongue slipped out and cupped her maw. She was Alianora Silvertongue, the angelfox.
The tree beneath her swayed again, this time a little stronger and Ali slowly unfolded her wings and stretched them. She turned her small, pulsing nose to the air...from which came the scent of dragon. Dragon? she thought, I shall have to see this creature.
Slowly Ali got up and then dropped off the branch, letting her wings unfold and pumped them once or twice so that she glided with the wind. She followed the scents, flying low above the trees and then circled when she saw the dragon.
