OOC| Hi, welcome, thanks for joining in, and all that Jazz!! Also, if this has been here for a while I'm sorry, I have been checking but the sidebar in the main always said that another had been responded to instead.
BIC| Oh, well the raven returns! And she brings with her a friend, apparently. And just who was this, circling overhead? So many new creatures to see.
"Now then, what do you make of the lot," Sukosh asked of the tiny reddish squirrel that was honestly starting to doze from being so soothed. "I see cause for welcome," she said after a moment's pause, almost as if the small mammal had answered.
"I see you have many friends,' she commented to the fowl, and then snorted lightly up at the winged beast that flew overhead. "There is plenty of room you know, as long as I keep my wings in. My father, even, could land here."
Grinning at that thought, Sukosh shifted her weight just enough to press her wingtips to the ground once more. That her father would ever go outside his own realm was a laughable concept indeed. He did, however, make a point to teach his hatchlings manners enough for when they themselves wandered, and she also knew that it was rude to remain seated and not aknowledge the presence of a guest. So she swayed up to her feet, lifting her tail in the air as she stood erect and kept careful note of the squirrel's agrivation at her roughly scraping plates.
"Well now," Sukosh noted as the strangers came closer. "I would think that if you, small one, would bring others you should know my name. I am Sukosh." Then, just for fun, she did a bit more sculpting, imitating in almost perfect detail the flying creature that circled lower and lower. There were a few minor details that went awry at first, but those were quickly corrected. Sukosh did love fire. But a small hic of surprise when the squirrel started awake and ran back down to her spine caused the flames to shrivel and double up into her mouth again, making her cough comically before laughing at herself. "Oh, such a beginner's mistake! I feel foolish, but such is life. Now then, new friends, do any of you know how to get this little creature to stop tickling me? She happens to be resting at a juncture of plates, and I'm quite worried that I may harm her if I give in to the giggles that threaten me."

Tailenar's reaction to Sukosh, was something less then desired. All the fur on his body went straight up. He had never seen a dragon so close before (and alive and nonthreating) Tailenar much to Nayena's surprise was...afraid. And to add to his fears he caught sight of something flying overhead.
"Fuuurraaaheeiiissh!" He hissed out and grabbed his sword. Eyes widly staring at the two. "Tailenar...calm down!" Nayena whispered in his ear feeling him tremble under her talons.

"Oh, now I didn't want to scare her off," Sukosh commented in her soft, flickering, warmly encompassing voice. "I just don't want to be tickled either." Unable to take the shifting much longer, she swung her head back and gently blew at the creature, causing it to scamper back up to the base of her wings. That was better; at least it didn't tickle.
"There now, that solves that," she commented, and smiled at the three guests. "Now all that's needed is proper introductions. I would leave them to my little raven friend, but I'm afraid that doesn't look too likely." chuckling, she winked at the little black bird and carefully shifted her wings so the squirrel could lay in the hollow of her shoulders. There was the usual harsh, hollow rasping, but with all the exitment she hardly noticed herself.

Ali circled slower and slower, listening to the action and seeing the other newcomers as well. She slowly alighted on the grass, folding her wings, and cocked her head. "You may call me Ali if you wish. And your name, great dragon?"

Sukosh, slightly stunned by this wonderous little creature, offered another of her fiersome smiles and nodded her head in placment of a bow. "Well, I don't know just how great I am, but my name is Sukosh. I do like your name, Ali. May I ask, when do you learn to fly?"
As a dragon the flight of others greatly intriuged her. When her clan were born they were pushed off the edge of their cliff dwelling cave home as soon as the egg was shed. They used the fall to pump up their wings, and once full they would soar overhead until they made their first kill. Live began instantly for them, with no unneccisary breaks. She knew others, however, did wait some before they started to fend for themselves. She only stayed with her parents because they acted as security. Once she was large enough she'd go out on her own as well. But others depended on thier parents, and these creatures greatly interested her.

Despite Nayena's constant reassurance that the two creatures were not dangerous, Tailenar stayed where he was. With his paw still on the hilt of his sword. The liger's ears has flatten against his skull and his lips curled up bearing his teeth, looking very much like a cat (well he was a cat) that had come face to face with a angry dog.
"Chuurraak!" Cried Nayena suddenly feeling embarrassed by his actions. "Come along, Tailenar!" She hissed.
"Grrr...heeiiisss!" He answered and stepped back. "You are not afraid are you?"
"I am not afraid...Just weary..." The liger growled lowly. Nayena gave sarcastic, “Oh..” and rolled her head.
Tailenar let out another growl but seeing that his pride and reputation was at stake, the liger lifted his head and boldly headed straight towards the dragon.
Though it was to note that his hackles were still up.

Ali turned her head to the over side and swiped a black paw over her nose.
"My mother took us out until our wings grew strong enough to bear us," she said, "there were three other hatchlings in our family, but the Black Devil yawned open his great mouth and ate them." Her voice had the smallest lacings of sorrow, but in her eyes there was a brighter spot of remorse. "And you?"

Now that was quite a history. She'd never heard of a black devil before, but she did love the speach pattern of this odd little creature. The poor dear had shared her loss though, and for that she sorry. "My mother had laid 17 eggs," Sukosh said in a voice she'd learned to adapt and control. It was wavering, quivery, siderailing most creatures into a different topic as it bent around itself and changed pitch and tone. "Three of them hatched after the raid. My mother didn't make it. I had two brothers until the second raid, when Rogned was captured then killed. I still think in terms of 'brothers' at times, since this last one happened but months ago. But this land," she added as her voice made a turn of volume and pattern. "I have never seen a place quite like it. Or anything quite like the friends I'm making."
With that she turned her gaze to the now approaching raven's friend. He didn't seem to like her so very much, but that was usally rectified once a creature spent time with her. "Well, little raven, what have you brought back? He is rather adgitaded, don't you think?" Smiling once more she tilted her head to the hostile male and turned her full attention to him for the moment. "Well now, since my little fowl friend can't explain, what could have you in such a dander? Nice sword, by the way. My father once forged one very simular to it. It was given to some sort of fea that promised to watch over our nests after the first raid." She paused for a moment, thinking, then let out a wry little chuckle. "Come to think of it, I don't know what happened to him. Such is life, eh?"
She was, by now, beginning to relax so with a contented little sigh she pressed her wings to the groung once more, with a good bit of hollow scrapings, and tucked her feet under her so her long tail could rest on the ground. Once she got her wings back to her sides it was what could be seen as the equivalent of leaning back against a tree. Since she had no front legs though, it did look rather akward.

'Rather agitated...I am merely weary! Tailenar growled softly at Sukosh. And dragons forging swords? Impossible!
He was about to open his mouth in protest but Nayena stopped him with a very sharp look.
"I am Tailenar," He said instead, his voice growling with the r's. "Servant of the Lord Mawinic of the Tylshad Pride."
The liger's jaded eyes glanced momentary at Ali sizing her then turned his attention back to the dragon.
"This is Nayena..." He continued gesturing to the raven who in turned bowed. [/color]

"Ah, it's good to know your name, little one," Sukosh said with a warm smile at this bird who was obviously more than she seemed. "Since you liked my little trick with fire, perhaps you'd like to hear of the swords? We use our flames for the heat and our claws, just here on the tips of our wings, for shaping them. For hands our tongues come in handy, but I am afraid the ones we make, while fine and sturdy, are far from what would be considered normal sized. That and the fact that grip and hilt are made of the same material as the blade; to work with anything other than metle would be fuitle."
"But now," she added as she studied the other two, "I'm afraid I know nothing to say to such a grand introduction. I am rather new at this going out business, so if you could be so kind to help me?" She looked at everyone while she said this, though hey eyes took on a certain imploring aspect as they lingered over this liger. She was not sensing friendliness radiating from him, and Sukosh did so want her first expidition as a friend to be a success.

Ali nodded her head very slowly, listening to the heart-aching story, and carefully watched the conversation turn back and forth. Finally she raised her nose to the air, flickering one ear back and forth.
"There is a fire rising, smoldering," she said suddenly, and then turned to Sukosh. "Would you like to check it out?"

Curious, Sukosh lifted her head in an unconciously battle ready stance, a part of her expecting another raid. Sniffin lightly, she tilted her head at the small flyer and nodded silently. There was no way to tell what could be waiting for them, so she didn't want to alert it of their presence until neccisary; i.e., until her plates gave them away.

Tailenar let out a low rumble, not liking what he scenced. "I smell it too...A battle most likely!" He hissed and drew out his sword.
"Fighting here?" Nayena shifted uneasily on the liger's shoulder. "Tailener..." She whispered to him, the worry quite strong in her voice. "This could be a forest fire but either way I want you to stay with these two." The raven glanced momentarily at Sukosh then at Ali. "I will fly on ahead and see what there is to see." She paused for a moment then added. “And Tailener...do not do anything rash.
With that she took off from the liger's shoulder and flew over the treetops.

"I smell...sweat. And blood." Ali said softly, flickering her ears back and forth. "It might be possible that the forest could catch on fire. But it is odd that I did not see this before."
She trotted forward, her tail swinging liquidly back and forth. "I'm going to check it out."

Sukosh didn't like the idea of little Ali going off on her own to see to this trouble, whatever it was, but knew better than to try and interfere. Her plates would more than betray them. Frowning dangerously, she turned her eyes to this highstrung male that Nayena had brought to her. She was all business now, and there was to be no messing around.
"I want you to follow her, rather she be willing or not. I don't now much about Ali, or you for that matter, but I do know that it's always better to have two sets of eyes and ears on the watch as opposed to one. I can watch for trouble from here."
With that she leveled her gaze to where Nayena had flown off to and where Ali now headed. She had no way of knowing how Tailenar would react, but it honestly didn't matter. She had said what was to be said; what he did was beyond her.
