Ali watched her take off, venting. But Ali was not about to go off to dozing in the open, warning or not. She pressed a black paw in the ash and trotted along the ridgeline down to the burned valley, which was still warm from the intent burning.

Sukosh snorted lightly, Ali's movements bringing many different smells to her nose, and with a half hearted grumble straightened up again. Brooding would do no good, and while this odd creature's efforts might amount to just as much she still wanted to be wary of danger. How well this little one could fight was a mystery, but two was always better odd than one in any sitch. She could help her quench her curiosity while better assessing the damage. It would do no harm, and might save some trouble if Ali should come upon a surprise.

Alianora Silvertongue was more than your regular angel-fox. She was a Silvertongue, and Silvertongues may be small but they are powerful. The silver runes on her coat, made by the magic that flowed through her veins, made it apparent.
The ash shifted from beneath Ali's paws, causing bits of gray smoke to rise in her wake. She began to pick up speed, trotting around the edges of the burned valley, keeping her nose to the wind, pausing now and then to look around. It seemed quiet, most certainly.

Watching silently from the trees Sukosh flared her nostrils, emerald eyes bright and sharp as they took everything in. She kept one on the little fox creature at all times, allowing for the other to study the ruin. Such a day as this should never have come to any forest.....

Ali pressed her nose to the ground again, then shook her head and continued trotting along the base of the valley, threading in and out of the charred earth. Flickering her ears back and forth she caught the faint sound of...buzzing?
She stopped, still, her eyes boring in front of her, seraching, her ears tilted forward, seeking to hear every sound.
It stopped.

Tailenar who had been silently following behind, cocked his head. Ears picking up the buzzing. "Insects?" The liger sniffed the air, feeling more and more uneasy being out in the open. Too exposed out here his warrior instinct told him too venerable to an enemy attack.
Nayena felt the same way. Her yellow eyes darted here and there searching the ashen grounds from above trying to spot whatever had made the noise.
"Well whatever it was." She called from above, braking her silence. "I do not see it."
Tailenar let out a low rumble and griped his sword tightly.
"I have a bad feeling about this..."

Ali carefully placed a paw forward and walked a few more paces. The ground was getting increasingly hot to the paws...too hot for fire passed. Ali pulled back and dug through the ashes, then took a good few paces back at what she saw. Hardened lava. Lava!? Ali looked all around. No volcanoes. Nothing. Moutains, yes. That buzzing....

Sukosh took her gaze off of the land to watch the three before her. Her ears were good, though not nearly as well as thiers. Her greatest strength was her sight, and the lava she saw over Ali's shoulder made her blink in surprise. Concentrating, she let out a thin wall of flame that quivered with the soundwaves. It took a good deal of thought for her to figure out what would cause such waves, but when she did she stepped forward, passing the others to streatch her neck out and sniff as she studied her surroundings. Something was not right if the earth hear was as her homeland. Slipping cautiosly forward she eyed everything, nothing escaping her notice before pausing to glance back at the others.

"The blood of the Earth!" Nayena cried flying in circles over Ali. "Lava! Why did I not see this before?"
The liger's jaded eyes went wide with horror. "Tracks of Oma'vah!" He gasp, "The god of fire and war! He has been here!" Trembling Tailenar went down on his knees. "The wraith of Oma'vah has been brought here!"
Quickly Nayena was at his side, perched on his shoulder. "No, no Tailenar!" She said in a firm voice. "It is not 'Oma'vah' it is...” She paused. “Something else."
