Anyone know how to create a new browser window by clicking on a link? And then how do you customize that window (like removing the address bar or the menu bar). I can create a simple pop-up window using the html TARGET command, but then I have no control over the resulting pop-up.

What with the recent Phantom discussing, I found it very amusing when I found a shop/ticket center (?) that had a big Phantom display in their front window. Guess if I'd known beforehand I could have seen what it was like in German myth-and-fantasy.com/misc/austria/images/phantom.jpgSorry 'bout the reflection

So last week got back from my trip to Austria. Finally had some time to sit down and write a bit about it. Lot's of beautiful, extravagant churches. I didn't think you could put so much gold and molding in one place. And they were all like that, I took lots of pictures but now I don't know which church was which *g* Palaces! Again, every ruler they had built one, so there were lots of those around but all gorgeous. Also a few ruined castles and the beautiful castle Neushwanstein in germany...I'll have to show you pictures of that one. And you know how in North America most houses are made of brick? Well, there all houses (or really apartment buildings, there were no individual houses) are kind of pink or yellow or green with moldings and, well, are just more beautiful. Everything is so clean. Statues, gardens and monuments everywhere. I was just disappointed that I couldn't get into the winter palace to see the Lipizzaners *sobs* That's one of my dreams, to see them perform there. I did see the Lipizzaner museum across the street though And that's just Vienna. Then you move on to Salzburg and finally Innsbruck and you meander through mountain passes and valleys. No snow on the mountain peaks yet but they were still breathtakingly tall. Innsbruck is just surrounded by these mountains. Driving there you pass alpine pastures with cows and quaint farmhouses...just hope you don't get stuck on a tour bus where the tour director decides to play yodeling music for hours on end *gah* Finally we ended in Munich, which I didn't have high expectations for but ended up enjoying very much. The old part of town was equally beautiful. We also stopped by at the Oktoberfest which was an absolutely insane place, didn't care for it much probably because we'd just arrived after a several hour trip. LOTS of people there o.o Yeah, I was sick at the beginning of the trip, which sucked. It gave mem violent motion sickness on the airplane, thought I was going to die. But recovered by the end of the trip and was ready to do it all over again. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Heh, and (almost) everyone spoke english. It was weird walking around the Vienna airport and seeing signs in english and having to look really hard to find one in german. Lots of tourists too, its like their whole economy is driven by that. So if anyone wanted to go to Europe and didn't want to go to one of those major cities (London, Paris, Rome), I definitely suggest Austria. You can get a pretty good view of the entire country in about a week (though you'll probably want more time than that)

Did anyone else install the service pack? And if so, did you have any trouble with it? I always have these nightmares of my computer going *poof*

What a difference 5 years make. My style on the other hand seems unchangeable no matter what I do.
I really love what you did with their heads though, très cool.

Wow, thanks for all the ideas everyone! ^_^
Silv - I know my bookstore has DNAngel, the cover art drew my attention. What is it about? And where does one get those samples you mentioned?
Looks like I'll definitely try Fruit Baskets, seems like quite a few votes on that one and I do like the story idea. Actually a lot of them sound very interesting...
*copies down the list and runs off to do a little research*

I have a gift certificate that I need to use up, and since my bookstore carries manga now, I was thinking of trying that out. But I'm a newbie at this, so anyone have any recommendations? I've been told Fruit Baskets is good. Oh, and I generally like a fantasy twist to it, make sure it has its magic and strange creatures. It can be cute (but not too childish) or it can be dark, and great artwork is a major plus. Oh yeah, and obviously it has to be in English BTW, if anyone else if a Vampire Hunter D fan, the first novel in the series has been translated, the second is supposed to come out in September and the third early next year ^_^

Actually I haven't seen Hellsing yet, though I've seen fanart and was intrigued. Definitely want to see Miyu though.
