Trill gave yet another amused laugh, twitching her long tail briefly. "Ah, Hawkings Crest. Timekeeper is connected to Crest, but they are separate areas so those of us who wish to remain with Sera don't get stolen away."
"You explain the obvious," the first hint of amusement sounds from Cresce. Trill glances back at her brother with a droll look. "Perhaps you would rather explain," she said with a slight toss of her head.
"There is likely nothing to explain," the male replied easily. "He has come through Crest, why should he not know of Timekeeper?"
"Why should he?" Trill challenged him right back. "Perhaps he was not overlong at Crest."
"Perhaps he has been long there," came the unperturbed response.
"Perhaps you should simply ask him," the third voice was the middle ground of the pair, a feminine mezzo-soprano. Her voice was rich and perhaps a bit dark compared to her sister. Ralle didn't look up even with her comment, but it stopped the almost musical argument of her sibs.
Katya looked from one tsume to the next in the midst of their argument. They all spoke so beautifully, as thought singing even in their speech. And none seemed truly upset even through their disagreement. It was such a nice, if strange change from wot she was used to.

Griksei watched the exchange between siblings, it was kind of amusing... But very awkward, he figured it would be best to simply wait and talk when he was spoken to directly. Otherwise he might sound rude or intrusive or... Something. So when there was that pause he simply looked down at Katya.
"How are you feeling?" he asked her in a quieted tone, so that he would not disturb the arguement more than he would have to. Atleast she didn't seem the type to be inclined to drama... He hated that sort of thing.

Katya glanced swiftly up and away from the gryvern's kindly gaze. "I'm . . . alright. . . " she answered quietly. "They are interesting." She glanced at the triplets who didn't seem to notice them just then. "How are you?" golden eyes flicked upwards again.
"It's already evident," the three tsume were still discussing the length of Griksei's stay at Crest as well as the likelihood of him knowing to Timekeeper without asking him just yet. After a few minutes, however, it would occur to them again, and Trill was the one to ask, "Have you heard of Timekeeper?" Amusement danced in her eyes, as though energized by the brief mental sparring with her siblings.

He smiled at her glancing over at the arguementive siblings as she mentioned the were interesting... That very true, he wondered if all their arguements were like this... But didn't especially like the sound of them even if it was musical still. "Very interesting," he said then looked back down to her his smile widening into a grin. "I'm fine." he said with a chuckle... She was very cute.
Once they seemed to realize he existed once more he chuckled, then shook his head. "I'v never heard of it till just a few minutes ago when you mentioned it. I left Hawkings crest pretty much as fast as I could." he said with a grin, speaking to all three rather than just trill this time... Ah this could be a fun group.

"I win!" Trill sang lightly, and her siblings didn't seem to begrudge her. Cresce shook his head with another indulgent smile and Ralle smiled shyly at her sister. The tsume picked up her flute and began playing her own victory song.
Cresce gave a small snort, strumming a counter melody to her celebratory tune, causing her to give him a brief glare over her instrument. He smiled slightly at her before looking back at Griksei. "Why so rushed to leave Crest?" He hadn't minded the place as Sera let them wander and play wherever they wanted as long as they avoided visitors on that side; she thought them too great a temptation. They'd come up with many new songs and sounds visiting the strange beings that migrated through Crest.
Katya couldn't help smiling back when Griksei smiled at her and she was very glad indeed that she'd fallen asleep in that bush. The other tsume seemed to have warmed up to Griksei now that they'd argued among themselves and the mix had the brief thought that perhaps that argument hadn't been just wot it seemed on the surface. Or perhaps she was just too paranoid for her own good.

He laughed at the 'I win!' statement and watched as she burst out into her victory song, definitely siblings he mused to himself... Especially when the song was disrupted by the probably older brother. "I felt cramped there and wanted to find out where I would be living... I always make myself nervious if given too much time to think." That was probably why he always trained so hard at home... Rather than sit around and try and imagine what he would be sent to do, He would rather train and get ready... Idle thought was best left to the scholars who's job it was to process all that stuff... Not that he was dumb, just when there is nothing to plan, why worry?
Hmm... He wondered if katya would be able to stay with him if she had nowhere of her own? she knew that Vendsha spent a lot of time with angelus yet was not actually one of the beings Thalron had the responsibility of taking care of. He'd have to ask, them both.

Cresce hrrmed again, but, if still noncommittal, at least it didn't seem quite as hostile as it had previously.
"Wot -do- you do?" came from Ralle, though she blushed slightly as she spoke and still wasn't making eye contact with anyone.
Katya had the same thought only slightly more specific. Wot did Griksei do -here- , since the Poisontails weren't around to need assassinating. . . ^^;;;

He looked over at Ralle when she asked what he did... Well, he thought that would be rather evident given what his caste was but then again... Who knows. "I kill things... I used to kill poisontails, but now... Well, I'm not really sure what I'll do." he said, just now thinking about it... He had no one to protect, no one to take orders from with the possible exception of Thalron, but he got the feeling that's not the sort of thing he'd be asked... What would he do now? Wait and see if any poisontails came around for him to kill? The only other thing that came to mind was to wait for some kind of societal structure to be formed again when more gryvern came about.
He didn't feel he had to ask what they did here, it was kind of obvious.

"Wot's a poisontail?" Trill put the flute down to ask curiously, until she noticed that Katya was now literally hiding behind Griksei's leg again and was definitely cowering. The small mix was shaking, the reaction trembling up the gryvern's leg as well.
Trill tilted her head a bit uneasily; she hadn't meant to set the little thing off like that. She gave Griksei an apologetic look. Cresce started a slow song, then, soothing and gentle as Ralle picked it up in song, an old lullaby in an undefinable language. It didn't seem to be doing much good, but the tsumes weren't entirely certain wot else to try.

Griksei looked down at his suddenly quivering companion and then something came to mind, She was either traumatized by poisontails... Or what seemed more likely given her strange appearance she was half poisontail. He didn't answer trill, for obvious reasons but instead just gave a sort of awkward hug to Katya. "Don't worry, there aren't any here... And I wouldn't let them hurt you." he said somewhat quietly... Geeze he was always so horrible at dealing with scared things, atleast she wasn't crying.
Before ignoring them completely, he shook his head to trill, there was no way she could have known it would scare Katya so much... He didn't even know it would have effected her like that.

Trill inclined her head slightly to Griksei, making a temporary retreat since the mix obviously took comfort from the gryvern and not so much from the strange tsume. She lifted her flute and added her own sound to the gentle lullaby.
Katya shuddered against Griksei's warm comfort, chattering a soft, "I-i-i-i'mmmm ss-s-sorrr-rry." Her tail wrapped around his leg, unaware that he'd guessed her heritage. She was just so scared that somehow he'd follow her. . . Splithorn wasn't afraid of anything, even when he should be, and he was smarter than most Poisontails. She shuddered again. Her father knew just how far he could hurt her that she'd still heal back perfectly. She didn't want to think about it, she didn't want to think about it! "But wot if he follows me?" the mix didn't realize she'd spoken out loud as the question dinned horribly through her mind. "I don't want anyone to get hurt. . . "

Griksei continued to hold her as she shuddered and sputtered out her words. If she was half poisontail it would not be very strange for her to be so afraid of them... It'd be hard living with gryvern being such a mix, let alone something as savage as the poisontails. "Katya," he said to get her attention for a moment after she had finished speaking. "If anyone follows you, I will stop them. I don't want anyone to get hurt either, but if someone must be hurt I would much rather it be me than you." he said firmly, and sincerely. He admitted that he was no defender of the people... But he just had to kill whatever it was before it could reach her. And that was what he was good at.

Katya blinked up in surprise, shivers slowly as he spoke. Golden eyes went very, very wide and she stared up at him in awe with just a hint of trepidation. She wanted to be brave and strong and tell him no. . . but, she couldn't. . . She wasn't brave, and she wasn't strong. Running had taken all of her willpower; she couldn't do more than passively fight back by leaving. "I. . . I don't know wot to say. . . " she finally murmured softly, with only the smallest of trembles now. "I. . . thank you, Griksei," she said quietly, shifting her gaze to the ground. She didn't even know wot else to say, even though this wasn't anywhere near enough.
The triplets were still very carefully not listening, continuing their soothing song.

Griksei watched her as she stared up at him, He seemed very pleased that she had calmed down a little atleast. But he had meant what he said, and would stand by it should the need ever arise. "Anytime." he said with a grin then rubbed her head with his nose. "Everyones up here, you don't need to watch the ground for us." he said with his tone a little less serious, and a little more sarcastic. If she did stop hiding for a little while, he might ask her for a dance... Even though he didn't really know any, maybe the tsumes did.

Katya flushed again and sent him a small smile, before she had to duck her head again. She was safe, at least for now, and that gave her a strange feeling of security. Not that it wouldn't still be dangerous if Splithorn did pursue her; he didn't lord it over the Poisontails at Largewater for no reason. He was oddly intelligent for a Poisontail, thinking on the same level as the gryvern. Katya had wondered if perhaps he was part gryvern himself, but she had never bothered to ask. Such a question wasn't worth the beating she certainly would have received.
The mix seemed to still take comfort from physical contact with the male, still leaning into his leg even as she thought quietly. Her tail was flicking a little now, proof of her whirling thought. "Griksei," she asked quietly. "How many Poisontails have you killed?"
