"You have no idea," Cresce remarked drily, picking a swift tune along the strings with careful and expert claws. Ralle glanced over at her brother, altering her beat to compliment his rhythm. "Do you have any weaknesses to share with us?"
Trill gave a low laugh, letting it dance the air among them. She sent her brother an adoring look, amused by his blunt question. She stretched out the large white wings as well as the smaller blue set, refolding them one pair at a time. She was enjoying this meeting with this strange creature. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to search out more gryvern after they returned to Encargo del Tiempo. They'd interacted with Naa, but thusfar no other gryvern besides Griksei.
Katya tilted her head in thought; would only the Poisontails had an equal weakness! Ah, well. She rubbed her nose up and down Griksei's short-furred leg in a gesture to comfort herself. She was protected here and safe, at least for the time being, and that's all that mattered just now.

Griksei chuckled at Cresce, he of course thought it was a joke at first... But after a moment realized the question was atleast mostly serious, which didn't make it any less amusing. Weaknesses... Hmm, well he really hated it when things tickled him... He also couldn't stand the taste of artichokes. "Hmm, I think the main weakness that we have is the members of the opposite sex." he said then laughed, it was alas... oh so true. He didn't even know what had happened to casimir or he would have probably told them that was their weakness seriously.
When his leg was rubbed in what he assumed was an affectionate manner, he rubbed his free paw against the top of her head in a friendly manner, rather than a noogie or something... Although it was tempting.

Cresce gave a brief low laugh of his own, less than a measure of time, cello seeming amused for a moment as well. As of yet, the gryvern didn't have a species wide weakness that could be so easily manipulated; that wasn't to say they wouldn't find one now that they were off exploring other Realities, just that they hadn't really found one yet. Each individual gryvern, however, would have its own strengths and weaknesses.
Katya was surprised with how easy it was to touch and be touched by Griksei, and how she enjoyed it without fear. She didn't know about her gryvern strengths and weaknesses, only some of her Poisontail ones, which she really didn't want to have to share.
"I think many creatures share that weakness," Trill replied lightly, though it was something neither she nor her siblings had yet to fall prey to. "Though some will claim it's not such a great weakness."

Somewhere in the woods, a portal flares to life. A figure steps though, scanning the area carefully and thoroughly before pulling his long tail after him and allowing the magic to fade away. For a moment the woods seemed to shudder around him, but he seemed oblivious to the reaction. Hooved feet trod forward with care as golden eyes inspected the springy turf beneath him. A sound froze him in sudden readiness and then he was gone from his arrival point, hidden within the trees from horn tip to tail tip.

Flicking an ear casually in the direction of a faint laugh, she found that indeed she had just stumbled upon conversation. Pausing to take in some of the words being passed from one to another, she decided to take a small peek at who and what was speaking. Not at all to her surprise, a group of mixed Gryvern and Tsumes were conversing in a relaxed manner. Well, it was never good to let down your guard... sadly, her parents had taught her that through their deaths. She would never let her or her sister fall victim to such a short ending. Poisontails... had she the power and means, she'd kill them off until only few remained to see how it felt...
But her anger was short-lived. She found the tension easing out as quickly as it had come, and she sighed resolutely. What was done was done. Unfairness was in the world all over, and not one type nor race could be destroyed to ensure the prevention of such unfairness. It was something she'd accepted long ago. Still in somewhat of a dreary mood, she figured at the very least, she could be polite and let her presence be known. If it wasn't already. She didn't know how good these strangers were. They certaily didn't seem very alert to her yet.
"Isn't this cozy? Pardon my intrusion." It wasn't as sarcastic as would be expected from one with her looks. Burgundy with black smudged on her front legs, face, and hindleg, accentuated by blazing crimson webbing along her spine. An oddity for sure. Hooked onto the spikes of her webbing were two silver chains, supporting a large amethyst-like stone which had another chain going into a silver cuff around her upper leg. Serpent-green eyes were casual, yet with a bright inner glow that resembled either curiosity or amusement. Maybe both.

Griksei had just about asked something else regarding the tsumes, but when whatever it was that had been wandering about in the bushes stepped out he held his tongue... Especially when it turned out to be a gryvern, who did not need to know that he was being bothered by a insane tsume who insisted on flirting with him at every chance it got, why couldn't it have waited until they told him how to tell whether it was actually interested or was just messing with his head, since it seemed intellegent enough to be doing either.
"...Something like that." He answered the gryvern, hmm.. He didn't know this one, well, then again he did not know a lot of gryvern and pretty much the only ones he knew that were still alive were ones Astafy had introduced him to. Assassins and warriors came and went depending on their skill... And many did not have the chance to get good at what they did, atleast not good enough.
And as usual, he forgot to continue on into pleasantries after he made his response.

Katya ducked fully behind Griksei's leg again; that had to be one of the scariest looking gryvern she had -ever- seen. Golden eyes occasionally peeked shyly out, but, for the most part, the mix just stayed as hidden as she could.
The triplets gave a small fanfare at the new gryvern's entrance, then Trill gave a welcoming smile, seemingly unconcerned by the female's dark looks. "Greetings to you."

Nadia couldn't help but chuckle at the femme who dashed behind the leg of the (seemingly) only other full Gryvern in the area. Raising an eye curiously, she smiled and shook her head. "You know, it's not nice to judge based on looks. If I meant you any harm, trust me, you'd know by now." She chuckled and sat a ways away from the group, just to be polite to the scared Katya.
She smiled genuinely at the triplets, surprised to find such a welcome, but grateful nonetheless. Not that it really bothered her that most found her looks... alarming, but it wasn't that bad to have a nice warm welcome every once in a while. "To you as well. I am Nadia, twin sister to Nevena, if you've heard of her." That was introduction enough for her. Usually she wasn't that talkative anyway.

Griksei looked down at Katya, then looked back up at Nadia... What? Katya was definitely skittish but that didn't mean that she was really judging anyone now did it? "By saying that, aren't you judging her by her looks?" He asked the twin with a questioning glance, it was rude to assume someone was judging you by something when they hadn't even said anything! Katya had already been hiding behind his leg even before nadia showed up...
"Err, I'm Griksei, sorry but I haven't met your sister." He probably would have assumed that Nadia was Nevena had they met before... But nope. Griksei wasn't really that talkative for the most part, he preffered talking when he had something to say and well, not many people liked talking about his area of knowledge.

Katya ducked further behind the deep purple male's leg, mortified and uneasy now. She now felt horrible for hiding, even though she had hidden from every single creature she'd ever met. ^^; She murmured half into Griksei's leg and half to the ground, "i'msorryididn'tmeantobeoffensive." However, she didn't come further into view.
"We have never heard of this Nevena," Trill put in, sending a concerned glance towards Griksei and his small friend, before black eyes flicked back to the new female. The cello sang uneasily and warily around them though Cresce didn't seem any different. "I am," she sang the little melody that was her name. "But you may call me Trill. My siblings," she gesture toward the other two tsume who obediently sang their names.
"Cresce," the male put out shortly.
"Ralle," from the other female, though the name was pulled rather reluctantly from her. She was very shy in new company.

Very taken by the trio, she smiled and gave a surprised look at the introductions. "Certainly a way to make a flashy entrance! Haven't heard of her? Well, that's just as well, we've been keeping low for a while." She shrugged in nonchalance and laid out her tail casually behind her. It was strange for her to want to stick around, she was probably just too bored to find anything better to occupy herself with. Always a wanderer.
She frowned towards Griksei and shook her head. "For one- I was making a playful comment, for another- noticing her hiding from me has nothing to do with her looks. I don't mean to sound rude, but really, it would be silly of me to say something against others who I don't know at all." In fact, she had nothing against the femme. She was sorry to have startled her, but other than that, she didn't feel to ruffled up over it. She was just easygoing like that.
"You weren't, don't worry. I'm not offended in the least. Sometimes I try to scare people, don't dish it out if you can't handle the consequences, ne?" She smirked and gave a thoughtful look for a moment. It had been a long time since she'd seen many as... strange as herself. Even intimidation, that was hard to find in the looks of most Gryvern she'd come across. No matter though, it gave her the upper hand in less favourtable situations. It just made social interaction a little more awkward from time to time.

...."Whatever." was his response to the gryvern, It was indeed one of Griksei's common responses when he thought that it wasn't worth pursuing whatever he had been talking about... It was rather difficult to argue with someone who simply didn't care enough about most subjects to continue more than a few sentances with them... It almost always made out whoever he was talking to to appear some sort of jerk. It was a rather annoying talent.
He sighed a little bit as katya buried herself more underneath his front legs and such, she had just began to feel at ease around the tsumes and he had no idea how long it'd take for her to relax around this 'scary' looking female... Although he thought that she just looked kind of odd rather than scary. He'd just have to take her word that she was scary, maybe all his fighting poisontails had made him less easily frightened?

As far as gryvern went, Nadia might have been a bit on the different side, but when compared to Poisontails, it was hardly surprising Griksei was perhaps a bit less than impressed. They were easily the stuff of nightmares. As such, maybe it was rather unusual that Kayta was so freaked out. Or maybe she was just always easily frightened.
Trill tilted her head slightly at the coolness between the pair of full-bloods. It surprised her and she didn't really understand. They seemed to have an almost animosity that she would have expected of a long-term relationship, not two who had only just met. "Well, Nadia," she abruptly changed the subject. "Wot has brought you out into our woods?"
-----
The unknown continues slowly through the woods, fine nostrils flaring on his humanoid face. He finally scents her and continues slowly to the brush where she had hidden not so long ago. Eyes skim the nearby source of water and narrow at the heavy scent of gryvern in the air. He shifted on hooved feet, moving the long bladed weapon to his side as he leaned forward to find out which way she'd gone. His daughter would regret running. He would be certain of it.

Smiling and shaking her head at Griksei, it was no surprise that she didn't take his disinterest in pursuing the matter to heart. Who would? Someone who needed a hobby. Plus, it was nice to not get into a heated debate about her fluxuating personality. No... perhaps not personality, so much as moods? She was a bit unpredictable, but it was more difficult to place what would be at fault for it.
Impressive? She would never want to be. If she impressed someone on accident, well, things happened, but she would never seek the life of fame and danger seeking, just to get a reputation. She also needed no looks to be remembered by, to some she was frightening, because people tended to be frightened of things which were not like them. To most, she was too easygoing to be taken in a frightening way. It worked for her.
It was a pity that only the tsumes had really shown her a warm welcome, but they were so interesting that she was more than willing to give the others time to warm up to her if things were inclined to happen that way. She'd probably be taking her leave soon anyway, something about staying in one spot made her... anxious. "I wander when I have nothing better to do, sometimes it's nice to just dissapear from everyone and everything you know." It could have sounded depressed, but she just wasn't keen on the supposed comfort of familiarity. She could live in a new place, every night, for her entire life and be just as happy.
"You say 'your woods', have I stumbled upon private property then? If so, I apologise for not bringing a gift at the very least." Slight humour attached, though it wasn't too unlikely, she'd met others who 'possessed' a certain area of land. Mostly through beating others away. Anything to be in control of something, she supposed.
A faint vibration in the air, Nadia was sensitive to things like that. Be it her magic or intuition, but she just tended to get more of buzzy feelings than gut feelings. However, she didn't much feel like weirding the group out more than she already might have, so she remained silent and forced a neutral expression into place.

While Nadia might have sense the portal energy originally, there was nothing for her to track with the one approaching them now. Griksei, however, was trained for the creature coming onwards towards them, and he likely would soon realize that something in the woods was not quite right.
The first overt sign that they were no longer alone came with the loss of the background noise. The birds fell silent and a sense of waiting fell over the area. Katya became antsy, though she wasn't certain why. She huddled even more uneasily around Griksei's leg, though her golden eyes tried to concentrate on the conversation between the Dark and the Tsume.
"No," Trill laughed softly. "Not our property. We are simply here to play our music for wotever ears are willing to listen." She lifted her flute and gave an upbeat chorus. The drum aped the tone, but Cresce's cello still thrummed deep and wary. Trill turned dark eyes curously to him, but the tsume's attention was to their surroundings and not his sister. She tilted her head at her brother, then turned back to the Dark. "Do you hail from nearby, Nadia?"
