"Oh, Sobri," Samir breathed out, nearly overcome with sorrow for her, for the pain she carried with her, for the hard memories living within her. He nuzzled her with gentle care, aware of just how badly she hurt then. He hushed her with samll murmurs that were almost nonsense, designed to help calm her first. He wasn't entirely certain wot a Sin Tsume was, though he had seen a Tsume or two at Timekeeper, but he did know he wanted to hunt down every single Tsume that had dared hurt her.
He wouldn't speak to wot had occurred until she was a little calmer, knowing that such a memory could never be easy to bear. "Is there any way you can go back to your Aerie and find out?" hea sked gently. It seemed to him as though she needed some kindof closure, even if it was the sure knowledge that the kittens had been killed. Of course, if the adults blamed her, they could make her guilt worse. However, he fully intended to be there and he doubted any of them would be willing to stand up to an adult Gryvern in battle rage, something he was more than willing to pursue to save her.

She shook her head sadly, nuzzling up Samir's neck towards his jaw in thanks. "I'm terrified to return, honestly. I tried once, when I was recovered... There was nothing left but a memory." she smiled a little sadly, sighing. "When disturbed, it is not uncommon for an Aerie to move to another location.. I'm sure that's what happened to mine. If I could find them, I would return to find out what happened."
She was as close to him as possible now, almost melting into his side for the comfort he provided... as well as that little shiver of pleasure and warmth she recieved from his touch. "Thank you.." she whispered.

Samir brushed his nose along her neck in a gentle, familiar gesture. "Perhaps we can try to find your Aerie," he suggested quietly, more than willing to search the ends of the universe if it might please her. He couldn't help but continue to nuzzle her, wanting to make her happy and feel better.

"Would you do that with me..?" her voice was soft, full of brimming affection for the cloudy Gryvern, looking at him with wide eyes. "I.. I've always wanted to find them, but I've been too afraid to do it alone. If you were by my side, I think I could do it, though."
She found herself pressing closer to him, almost desperate for his touch. She didn't fully understand what the strange feeling was, but she could enjoy it, to be sure.

Samir blinked, silent with the strength of his emotions for that moment. She wanted him to come. . . She wanted his strength by her side. It felt as though all of the world clicked into place in that moment and he was nearly overcome with pride, and joy, and just -completeness-. His quiet answer of "I would be honoured" was completely inadequate for the happiness he felt in it, but it was the best he could do, voice nearly trembling with his deep pride. She wanted -him-.

"It's a funny thing, Samir." the little Gryphon murmured quietly, nuzzling his neck softly, tracing the tip of her beak delicately through his fur. "You give me courage I've never known before... You make the world so much less frightening." she moved back, pale eyes meeting his for a moment, shining with complete joy. There was the beginning of something in her mind, then, perhaps a word to speak to him at some point, but she knew that for now it was time to let the feelings grow.
"When shall we begin?"

Samir's ears flicked with further pride, wishing he could think of how to work the rising tumultuous tide of emotions with in his breast, but he couldn't, not just yet, so he simply smiled at her with genuine affection. "Whenever you feel the desire," he responded jovially. "Would you care to leave this very minute?" Because he was more than willing if she was.

"If you feel prepared for quite a journey." she responded, looking eager to leave. "We should start with its old location, then see if there are any there that know of where they moved to." as she spoke, Sobriquet traced her beak up Samir's neck until she reached his mane, lightly running her beak along the hairs, purring softly.
"Thank you, Samir." she whispered. "You don't need to do this.."

A shudder danced down his spine again and he regarded her with serious purple eyes, "I am pleased and honoured to be included on this journey, Sobriquet. I will protect you with all that I am." A smile touched his muzzle. "And I'm certain we'll have fun along the way."

"Spending time with you will alone make the journey worthwhile, regardless of outcome." she stood, stretching out languidly, the spark of joy and life in her eyes once more. "My mighty Samir." she trilled his name, drawing it out in a teasing manner, but there was a look of such affection on her face that the old saying was true - you only tease the ones you adore.

Samir couldn't help a hint of a blush, knowing that he was equally glad for a chance to spend time with her and learn more about Sobriquet. Plus, the whole idea was simply exciting to his maleness. An adventure with a beautiful female. Excellent. "Well," he said, turning his voice lighter. "You must lead on. Your plan is a good one."

Sobri makes a few small steps away, looking back at the cloudy Gryvern, eyes shining with affection. "Will you walk by my side, Samir? I would be honored to have you there."
Her tail swishes from side to side, not impatiently, but betraying some amount of the Gryphon's worry. Though her crest is raised, her feathery ears lay almost flat. She is terrified inside, feeling completely unsure of what will happen on their journey, and of the things they will find. If Samir wasn't here, she realized, then she would be completely paralyzed by even the thought of returning to her Aerie. But if he walked by her side..

Samir smiled lightly at her, noting the tension in her. He moved swiftly to her side, tilting his head down to nuzzle her soft neck lightly. "I will remain by your side as long as you want me there, Sobriquet," he said quietly, voice low with reassurance. Dark eyes searched hers paler eyes with concern.

"I most sincerely doubt that there will ever be a time when I do not want you with me." she grinned rather playfully at him, darting forward a few steps, tail waving. The skin under her white feathers shone with a crimson blush, though he could not know that unless he moved very close to the feathery female.
"It is early yet.. We could likely make good distance if we set off now." she purred softly, looking at him once more, as if she could not bear to take her eyes off of him for too long.

He was relieved by her playful demeanour, not catching the accompanying blush. His ears relaxed from tension he hadn't even realized was within him then he moved with an easy grace back to her side. "Well, then," he smiled. "Let's be off." He tilted his head curiously. "Is there some song about a wizard we're supposed to sing now?" He vaguely recalled Mozer mentioning such a thing.
