Katasha swung down from the low-hanging branch, her golden hair whipping into her face. Her boots hit the ground with a thud, spitting up a bit of dust. Katasha was looking around, her green eyes cautious, striving to pick up any trace of danger. Nyries -nasty, deformed dragon like things- where always lurking around, preying on anything that crossed its path. The beasts were bloodthirsty, and would stop at nothing. The beasts were a bit like vampires, only coming out at night. Only silver could harm them, and they had a tendency to drink up blood. Katasha was a wanderer. She was always alone, always moving about, never staying in one land at a time. She was known in many lands for her skill with the blade and bow, and many came to her for training. Whisking a strand of hair out of her face, the young elf took one last weary glance around the area before continuing on her way.
An hour had passed and Katasha had not seen one Nyrie. She was just about to praise her luck when an earsplitting cry rang out. Just my luck... she thought grimly, putting a hand on the hilt of her silver sword for reassurance. She felt as if she were being watched... Gulping, she scanned the trees around her, fear setting like a rock in her stomach. She hated Nyries. The things gave her the creeps... A whoosh of something caught her attention. Wheeling around, she desperately stared into the trees.

The forest became silent for one long breathtaking moment and then quite suddenly the sound of someone playing a lyre could be heard and then coming out from the forest shadows a fairy dressed in armor (with the lyre in his hands) riding atop of a ginger cat.
They walked out in the opened without looking too terrible concerned for any sort of dangers that might be lurking about. After all the fairy was Sir Falaroy knight of the Fairy Kingdom, the third bravest fairy-knight in all the land, and his steed was Tapio a talking cat. No fancy tittles for him sad to say.

Katasha heard someone, or something, behind her. She almost whipped out her sword, frightened that it could be a Nyrie. When she saw that only a cat and fairy had stepped out into the clearing, she felt a bit better. Good. It wasn't a Nyrie watching me. She thought, though she cast an unsure glance into the woods.

"Hullo...What's this?" Asked Falaroy as he looked up from playing his lyre and spotted the elf.
"An elf, can't you tell?" Answered Tapio looking at the elf with curious emerald eyes.
"Why so it is! Tapio! A fellow brethren indeed!" The fairy knight grinned ear to ear. Many fairies (including himself)considered elves be related to each other, though wether or not this was really true it had yet to be proven. Still fairies other then the size and wings did look a lot like an elf.
Waving a hand in the air Falaroy cried out. "Greetings elf! I've never thought that your kind lived in these woods!"

"Greetings." Katasha said, slightly smiling. "Well, I don't exactly live here. Just passing through." A slight rustle of leaves caught her attention. Casting an unsure glance into the woods, she felt the hair on the back of her neck prickle. A screech split the air and a pure white hawk burst from the trees. It flapped over and landed on the elf's shoulder. "Weryi!" She hissed. "Gosh, you had me scared stiff for a second there. I thought you where a Nyrie!" The hawk slightly squawked.

"So are we!" Replied Falaroy, his dark blue eyes gazing at the white hawk, Weryi, for a second before continuing. "And on the look out for monsters." He plucked a few strings on his lyre. "Folks say this forest is full of them and ours for the slaying." He grinned and so did his cat.
Fighting monsters was something the two did best and enjoyed it too! And considering that for the past few weeks of wandering around without any sort of adventure they were both eager for some excitement.

Katasha nodded. "Hunting monsters is one of my favorite pastimes. Nothing more exiting then battling a monster." Weryi squawked in agreement.

Falaroy's eyes twinkled. "Ah, a elf after my own heart!" he exclaimed and with a flick of his green wings he was air born. A gentle light eliminated the fairy's body and reflected off his armor.
His cat sat down on his haunches and thought, Here we go again! then focused on licking his paw. Ignoring the two for the time. Falaroy flew over the elf's side hovering high enough so he could be at eye level with her. "Since we are here for the same reasons. Perhaps we could travel together?" He asked and then bowed his head. “It would be an honor for the both of us.”

Katasha shrugged. "That is fine with me. It would be nice to have some company." Weryi shifted her bright yellow eyes over to the woods. With a high pitched squeal, she pelted into the air and shot off into the woods. Katasha sighed, watching the hawk fly off.

"It will be our pleasure." The fairy knighted clapped his hands and Tapio stopped his licking and approached. "About time, I was getting bored." He grumbled as he looked up at the two. "Let's get moving..." Tapio sniffed the air and licked his lips.
"What is it?" Asked Falaroy.
"Scant of an ROUS." Replied Tapio.
The fairy raised an eyebrow. "RO...Oh, Ankle biters, Tapio just call them that. Don't use the tittle that the human's use."

Katasha blinked, glancing at the trees. She was anxious to get moving again. "Well, lets get moving." She said, slightly smiling before turning around. She was glad to have company. She took a step foreward, but a reeking smell caught her attenion. A hulkng black shape was lolloping through the trees. "Yikes...! Nyrie!" She squawked, drawing her silver blade. Red eyes glinted in the shadows and looked at the blade. Nyries hate silver.... Katasha thought, gripping her sword tighter. The beast growled before lumbering away. Katahsa took a step back. Oh, she hated Nyries. They where the only things that truly scared her. Gulping, she glanced back at her companions before putting her blade back. "Ehh..."

Falaroy's sword was already in his hands and the blade burned bright with fire magic summoned by the fairy. Tapio's ears went flat against his head and his mouth was opened showing a row of sharp teeth.
"Scardydog!" Hissed the cat. "Come back and fight like a beast!"
"Looks like there's something worse dwells here then ankle biters." Falaroy said gazing hard at the spot where the creature had been. "Nyries...so that was a nyrie. Never thought I would ever see one." He suddenly slashed his sword in the air, the flames on the blade made a loud whoosh. "Let alone have the chance to slay one." He paused as he suddenly realized that he'd forgotten something. Turning to face the elf he said. "By the way, forgive me for not saying this earlier but...I am Sir Falaroy Knight of the Fairy Kingdom and this..." He waved a hand at the ginger cat. "Is Tapio my noble steed."
Tapio only twitched a whisker. He was more interesting in the nyrie and the possible fact that there might be ankle biters in the area.

Katasha slightly nodded. "And I am Katasha, nothing really but a wanderer." She glanced up at the darkened night sky. A shaft of light was formed on the horizen. " Its nearly morning. Lets get moving. I would like to have a whack at a few monsters before they slink back to they're caves to sleep off the day." She slightly grinned.

"Of course, my lady of, course!" Replied the fairy and landed back on Tapio. "Onward Tapio, There are fell beasts in need of slaying. Prehaps we can give them a fight worthy of a ballad!"
“Naw, it'll just put a few more catnip points to our reputation.” Added the cat.

Katasha turned around and walked a few steps into the woods before pausing for a moment. Most of the beasts would be nearing they're dens, so her best bet to find one would be around its home... If she could find the dens. She pondered for a two seconds on where to search before striding into the woods.
