The cat only chuckled and swished his tail at the elf's reaction. Tapio was half tempted to use his cleaver kitty wits con the fairy into playing a love song and see how Katasha and Ashei would react to it's enchantment. Were thier wills be able to resist the spell or fall under it?
He had seen his master fall under a love spell once and was well quite amuseing for him at least. Falaroy was none too happy about having his drink spiked with a love potion nor was the girl who put it there. Falaroy fell in love with another girl and not her as she had intended.
Hopefully, that wouldn't happened with the two elves and if the music didn't work, Tapio still had the love potion.
His thoughts and scheming were interupted as Katasha decided to scout ahead while his master simply answered. "As you wish."

Katasha's mind was deep in thought as she walked ahead of the group and slipped into the trees. Obviously someone was out to get her. She had no idea why, but those odd folks she had seen in the town made her feel rather unsafe. Her gaze was trailed on the forest floor before she closed her eyes from the headache that had been bugging her, oblivious of the tree infront of her. Thwam! Star-like shapes briefly appeared infront of her eyes. Putting a hand on her head, which was really hurting now, she glared up at the tree she had run into. I'm such a clumsey elf.. She thought, scrambling to her feet.

The fairy watched the elf disapear into the woods. He looked long and hard before saying at last. "A rather fine elf isn't she, Sir Ashei?" He gazed at the elf with a fond look on his face. "She's both a gentle lady but has the feirceness of a mighty sheild's maiden. Don't you say so?"
Tapio rolled his eyes. "Don't get any ideas." He muttered. She's already taken.

Katasha threw one last curse at the tree before deciding to catch up with the group. As she silently strode away, she heard a shriek so loud that it made her clamp her hands around her ears. She glared up into the sky, and a feeling of dread slammed into her. Above her, an odd griffin-like beast flew above, scanning the trees below. Its blood red eyes gleamed in the sunlight and its jet black wings beat hard against the air. She let out a yelp of terror before putting a hand over her mouth. She just blew it... Hearing the noise, the beast swooped, let out another cry, and sunk its talons into the back of the young elf. She cried out, grasping the hilt of her sword. She drew it and hacked away at the beast. It wheeled back, furious that its prey was fighting back. Katasha lunged foreword, and the talons ripped from her back, leaving large, bloody gashes. She was shaking so hard that it was hard to hold her sword. She ran towards the beast and tried to plunge her sword into the beast's heart, but missed. It pecked at her with its huge, black beak. She dodged aside from the huge creature, swiflty running behind it. She hacked away at its back. "Falaroy! Ashei! Tapio! Help!" She shrieked out. The beast whipped around and lunged its head towards her neck. She winced, ducked, then thwacked at the beast. It made a hissing noise before swiping at her with a huge taloned paw. She fell backwards, and her sword slipped from her hand.

Falaroy was like a flaming comet that shot out after the griffin beast.
He went right for the face and with a cry and a wave of his hand the fairy burned the feathers right off it's head. Leaving a scorched, burned, and rather bald bird.
Tapio was at the fallen elf's side. "On your feet little Missy and quickly if you can!" he shouted. "While that thing is distracted!"

Katasha nodded and scrambled to her feet. Her back stung so much that she nearly fell over again. She grabbed her sword, just in case, and scrambled out of the way. The griffin shreiked, louder then last time, calling for reinforcments. Katasha was feeling dizzy, and her vision blurred. She felt herself trip. The beast scrambled out of the fairy's way, then noticed that the elf had fallen. It flapped over to her, and was about to peck Katasha's head, when Ashei sprinted up and dug his sword right into the beast's back. The creature whipped its head around and lunged forword, it's beak puncturing Ashei's shoulder. Katasha let out a cry of horror, scrabling to her feet. The beast threw Ashei off before slashing at the elven knight with it's paw. Katasha was now furious. She clutched her sword and rushed up to the beast. "Leave him alone!" She screamed, plunging her sword into the wing of the creature.

Falaroy shot another blast of fire, this time frying it's black behind. "Blasted bird!" He cried waving his silver sword in the air and beconing with his one free hand, challanging the beast to fight him. "Fight me! Your father was a booby, your mother was a sqauking arvark! You chicken-brained muck waddling, fat arsed..."
And so on, it went. With Tapio standing under him, hissing maddly at the creature, Falaroy let loose a bisare string of insualts. He spat them out one by one as if they were grotest profanities. though not one actual swear word escaped his lips, unless one considered the word 'arse' a swear word. All in an attempt to distract the griffen beast so that the elves could take the oppertunitiy to slash at it with thier swords. Or escape. The grim wounds as Falaroy saw, were deep. Any more mauling from the griffen might bring them to a heroic but bitter ending.

Katasha, chocked full of pure fury, pulled her sword out of the thing's wing and plunged it into it's heart. It roared, rearing up on its hindlegs, before battering the she-elf with its front paws. Ashei struggled to breathe, but found it hard. Growing weaker with every second, the knight feebly gripped his bow, and with his last ounce of strength, shot an arrow right into the back of the beast. It shreiked before turning around, sinking it's beak into the knight's arm. The beast swung it's head, hurling the elf onto a tree and knocking the breath out of him. Katasha finally lost her cool. She screamed at the creature, shouting at it in the elven language. She leaped onto the back of the creature and embedded her sword in the top of it's skull. It shreiked before collapsing. Katasha leaped off the beast's back and took her sword from the dying beast. It twitched a few times before finally taking it's last breath. "Blasted son of a......." she muttered under her breath, glaring at the creature before rushing over to Ashei's side.

The fairy knight hovered over her. His expression was grim. "His wounds are deep and so's yours." He bit his lip for a second before speaking again. "Do any of you have a bowl or a cup I can use?"

Katasha shook her head before saying something in broad elvish. Her voice was shriller, her face pale, and tears welled in her eyes. Don't die, Ashei! Don't die! She silently begged. Ashei's breath was so weak, he was on the brink of not drawing breath at all. Katasha was growing frantic. She scanned the forest for any types of healing herbs, but saw none. Suddenly the faint, rasping breaths of Ashei stopped, and for a second, Katasha's heart stopped, too. Eyes wide, tears now spilling down her face, she stared desparatly into the elven knight's face, but saw that his eyes had closed and indeed, his breathing stopped for good. Katasha let out a wail of pain and sorrow. Tears flooded down her cheeks. "No! No! Ashei, no! Don't leave... Don't!" She wailed, though most of what she said was in the elven language. "No!" She let out a choked sob. She grasped the dead elf's hand and lowered her head, clenching closed her eyes. He was dead.... how could he be dead? She needed him! Her heart felt as if it had just shattered into hundreds of little peices. The wounds on her back seemed to hurt worse, now.

Falaroy placed a hand on the elf's shoulders. "My Lady." He said quickly. "He may not be dead just yet." He pulled out a glass vail out from his pocket. "There might be a chance to save him. Lift and tilt his head back for me." He took of the vail's cap. "If the gods will it he may draw breath again!"

Katasha, feeling a tiny flicker of hope in her heart, did as the fairy instructed, silently praying. ~
Zanziber, a rather small bright neon yellow and blue dragon, scampered through the trees, his scales shining in the sunlight. His bright red tongue lolled out as he bounced. Neikiti, a black dragon with a gleaming electric blue underbelly, was much, much larger then the little baby, flying above to keep an eye on the little dragon as he scuttled along. Zanziber was in search of Katasha, who had befriended the little dragon since he had hatched from his egg. She was like an owner to the dragon, thought the little blue creature was far from being a pet. Neikiti, one of the older dragons that had once saved Katasha on one of her adventures, was also a friend of the young elven woman, and whenever she could, tried to keep an eye on the princess, worried that she could wind up getting into even more trouble. The black dragon had lost a whole brood of eggs a long time ago, and her mothering instincts were strong, so she had a tendency to treat Zanziber and Katasha as her own children.

Falaroy carefully let a few drops of the vial's liquid fall into the elf's partly opened mouth. "There that should do." He said. "Let's hope it works. The spell within this vial is strong but I don't know if it's strong enough for someone of his size."
Tapio who had climb the tree which his friends were under and had been keeping watch for them cried out. "Falaroy, Katasha, there's something coming this way!" Falaroy looked up. "What is it?" The cat's eyes narrowed. "A dragon...I think there's two of them."
The fairy knight turned to the she elf. "Stay with him. I'll go up and see if these dragons are friend or foe. In the meantime." He handed her the vial. "Put a few drops of this in your mouth. It will make you feel better until I can take care of those scratches on your back."

Zanziber was distracted by a large leaf that fluttered by. The young dragon charmingly squeaked and pounced on it. Neikiti swooped from the sky and gracefully landed on the leafy forest floor. Folding her wings, she gazed down at the pint-sized dragon which was on his back, batting at the leaf with his paws. The massive black and blue dragon made a chuckling sound before slowly padding on. Noticing that Neikiti was moving away, Zanziber sprang to his feet and bounced after her.
~
Dragons? Hmm... Katasha thought. She was still worried sick, and in quite the bit of pain, but she could not stop herself from letting her mind wander. I wonder if Neikiti and Zanziber are out there... or is it some wild dragon in hopes of an easy meal? Katasha glanced into the woods.

Falaroy and Tapio watch the dragon disappear behind the trees. "What do you think." Whispered the cat to his master. His master only shrugged. "They don't look evil. Least the one I saw. Where's this other one?"
"It's gone." Answered Tapio. "It could of been a bird for all I know, it was rather small."
Falaroy crossed his arms and thought for a moment. Dragons, despite some stories were good creatures. Noble, honorable, and sometimes great wisdom. But among the many good dragons there was an abundant of bad dragons, and the problem was it was sometimes hard to tell between friend or foe dragon. Until it was a little too late.
"Just keep an eye on them Tapio." He said at last. "Knowing dragons it won't take long for them to know we're here."
He darted back down to the elves. "How is he doing?" He asked.
