Mozer agreed with the faun's estimation of the flowers, but there were other things on his mind now. "Wot brings you to this fair place?" the gryvern asked the faun quietly. "And would your friend care to join us?" His bare tail twitched slightly as he gave the smallest hint of a grin. The owl seemed most upset about their conversation.

She made a slight bow, "Thank you..." She seemed almost hesitant to say it, and in truth she was. Because she didn't know what part of his name she supposed to use when speaking to him? Ah, mozer rescued her from thinking about it any more when he asked the strange human a question. He seemed rather uh, hairier than most and his legs were very much different.
Ci hua's attention drifted away though as she caught site of a butterfly, that was... Like the pictures she'd seen but this one moved. floating through the air and land on one of the flowers on her shoulder... What was it doing? It didn't look very dangerous but it did seem rather, slow moving... And it was probably edible.

"I don't know." Pallo shrugged sheepishly. "He was scared when he first saw you two."

"Scared of us?" Mozer questioned curiously. "Whyever for?" It wasn't like they were at least five times larger than the little creatures. Ci Hua had those strange little teeth and was just so foreign looking, and he likely wasn't any better. For all he was a Scholar, he could look dangerous and probably looked like any natural predators the faun and owl had. This thought made him grin further, teeth showing in an almost frightening view of humour.

Little might not have been the correct term for her teeth, but strange fit them very well. At some moments seeming as hard as teeth should be and the next bending from the slightest touch, who knows why or how. But there was another small demonstration of strange-ness when she twisted her head around and snatched the butterfly out of the air, it appeared that her uh... Spine must be very flexible considering the fact she almost twisted her head all the way around to do it.
After she had caught the butterfly she turned her attentin back to them, just in time to catch the sentances she didn't really know how to answer, oh well... She understood the 'I don't know' but didn't know what he was reffering to... Err... Wait 'scared...' she knew that and the other ones were pieces used to show reference. 'us' Mozer was speaking so he was talking about himself and... her? Somehow Mozer and herself had made the strange human uncomfortable...
"I did not mean to... Scared you." She didn't say it right, but there was an obvious attempt, It was pretty amazing, especially if you had to consider what the language she came from was which was... Well, pretty much nothing. What would be most surprising to people though is that no one really tried to teach her many of the words she used and they were simply figured out through observation and to a lesser extent guesses.

Pallo started to open his mouth to answered and stop. Not sure weather it was a good idea to tell Mozer and Ci hua about them being mistaken for a harpy and a lingworm. Even if it really wasn't the faun's fault. "Uhhh...well...." He stammered for a bit. "The owl thought you were...I mean we wanted to make sure you weren't an enemy."
Off in the distance Druffle Quill perked up his head (who had been eavesdropping on the three). "Yes, yes of course!" He exclaimed. What an idea! A good cunning excuse for him to weasel out of admitting his mistake. The faun for once actually showed some intelligence! Even if he didn't realize it.
Flapping his wings Druffle Quill took off from his hiding place (or a least tried to. He kept crashing to the ground) flying over to were Pallo was.

Unfortunately, likely none of her company now realized Ci Hua had simply learned the language on her own. If Mozer knew, at least, he would have been greatly amazed and amused. Of course, it didn't occur to him to even ask.
"A wise caution," Mozer complimented the faun softly, doubting the truth of the words. His ears flicked slightly at the sudden approach of the owl, but the bird seemed barely able to fly and hardly a true threat. He still watched the approach with wariness. "I'm astounded at your bravery to approach us when you did." The words were directed at the faun, though his blue eyes remained on the owl.

Ci Hua was more or less not paying much attention to the conversation anymore, Pallo had become nervious or uncomfortable for some reason she couldn't figure out, and Mozer appeared to become more suspicous of the two. Around this time the owl started to move aswell, coming up to them in it's sparratic, and pitiful flight, Her eyes watched the owl intently as he came closer... Much like a cat watches something it's preparing to pounce on, This wasn't too far from the truth actually because his movements reminded her of a cricket for some reason... That and he was meal sized, unlike the other two. He was just lucky that she knew better than to eat random critters especially possible companions.
"is Quill.... Hurt?" she asked as she continued to watch the owl intently, Didn't it attack pallo moments ago? Normally that meant it was bad but she'd wait for them to do something first, she kept getting mixed feelings about the little creature.

"No," Pallo answered dryly. His scalp was still sore from the fight and so was his feelings. "He very fat and lazy...very out of shape and he tires easily."
"Fat? Out of shape!" Druffle Quill hissed angrily overhearing the faun. "Criggets....and fluffy puff...I say!" The bird panted and gasp some more wearing out once again. The owl had given up on flying, instead he “walked” or rather waddled like a duck for the rest of the way.
“Which is why he likes to take rides on me.” Pallo added, smiling though he moved slightly a ways from the bird. Even if the owl couldn’t fly he just might take a peck at his ankles.
Grunting the owl bowed before the two, and spoke in a more cheerier tone. "Greetings I am Druffle-" "I already introduced you..." Pallo interrupted only to get a warning glare.
"Druffle Quill," He continued, "A familiar to the former Great Magician Wamfull!"

The owl spoke as though they should know wot this side of Reality he was talking about, Mozer mused silently. He occasionally spoke in such unfathomable terms, but he tried to avoid it. For it was mostly just very confusing. "Former?" he simply said aloud. "He's no longer great or has he passed on?" Perhaps not the most political of statements, but something about the owl put his back up. Mayhaps, the gryvern thought ironically, the magician had turned into the faun. Of course, that wouldn't explain the hostility between the pair.

She listened to pallo talk, and nodded slightly when he was finished but... She didn't know what he was talking about in the slightest, sure she might recognize some of the words but put together like that he might as well have been speaking another language.... Whatever he said though, it seemed to offend Druffle Quill. Strange, why are they together if they get along so poorly?
Sometimes she wondered if these creatures even attempted to make sense, whenever she was beginning to figure something out something else would come along and act completely differently.
When mozer spoke she looked at him and payed a bit more attention, he made more sense and often tried to explain things... 'passed on' That meant it stopped moving and began to wither? It was the same thing as dead, weird it didn't seem like any of her current company was dead... Why were they talking about that?

"Passed on...I'm afraid." The owl let out a pitiful sigh and shook his head sadly.
"Wamfull was battling an evil necromancer. An very evil and powerful one mind you. My master fought bravely and slew the friend but alas his energy was spent and was fatally wounded."
Druffle Quill let out another sad sigh, trying his best to be as dramatic and as possible. Since in reality his woeful story was way far from the truth. The pitiful tale was all made up save for the fact that he was a familiar and did serve a magician.
"I stood there by his side till the very bitter end and now...I travel about in search for a new master." the owl let out sob. "For what is a familiar without a magician?" Druffle Quill glanced up at Mozer, hopping that he would fall easily fall for the little lies...just like the faun had done.

Mozer gave the impression of a lofted brow, and, for the moment at least, kept his mouth shut. He didn't want to continually second guess someone he just met, but. . . . "You stood by his side and yet did nothing to aid him?" the gryvern baited quietly, tone all pity, though that hint of ironic amusement continued to gleam in his eye. "And, as soon as your first master was dead you decided to go flitting to the next? Perhaps you will be blessed to see the next one die as well."
He tilted his horned head slightly, watching the owl with those blue eyes. He was unaware of Ci Hua's confusion, though in one part of his mind he realized she must be. And the faun? How did Pallo fit into all of this? "Have you taken on the faun as your new master?" That ironic twist edged his words, obviously expecting a negative to this last question.

Mozer was suspcious.... And druffle quill really did not sound sincere about, well... Whatever he was talking about, and it seemed like mozer knew it too. This was usually followed by anger or irratation by mozer and then... Well, either the other apologizes or gets driven off? This could be interesting.
Unfortunately she still had very little to know idea what they were talking about and no one really needed her to do anything. She knew how to do many things, although... Hmmm... Alot of them she couldn't do here because it wasn't exactly like where she had come from. And they probably had different words for it too, why couldn't they all speak the same language or atleast use the same words.
She began to hum something under her breath, it seemed like an overly complicated song and flowed rather well, but the reason for the humming was mostly because she didn't want to have to use such long words, and hoped maybe it'd distract them from whatever it was they were talking about. Lying was never good... If that's what they were doing.

Druffle Quill was suddenly taken aghast. "Well I..I...I am an owl, there was ahh...nothing I could do!"
The owl flapped his wings. "No hands!" So many questions! Just his rotten luck to come across somebody that was not so gullible. "And this brainless bard is not my master!" Druffle Quill let out a tisk not caring if the faun heard him.
"I'm not a brainless bard...." Pallo in his defense gazing up at Ci Hua listening to her humming. Pulling out his lute the faun tried to tune the strings to the melody. There was never a song sung (or hummed in this case) without Pallo Balleny joining in.
